The club was founded in 1888, only 4 years after the foundation of the Gaelic Athletic Association. Based in the parish of Tracton, Cork, Republic of Ireland.

Tonight the recently installed bench in memory of our former club player, officer, and President Seán Kelly, was officially unveiled by Seán’s family. It overlooks our second pitch. Thanks to all who helped with this project and to the Kelly family.
Well done to Tractons U16 hurlers today v Ballygarvan in the U16 Championship.
After normal time the scores were even - Tracton 3-08 Ballygarvan 2-11.
Tracton went on to win in extra time, final score after E/T Tracton 5-10 Ballygarvan 2-14.

Congratulations to Tracton's Sean Lynch and Luke O'Callaghan who played for West Cork representing Cork at the U14 Tony Forristal tournament in Waterford. West Cork unluckily lost out to Limerick 1 in the final of the Shield.

We are thrilled to have been awarded a €150,000 Sports Capital Grant for a new walkway around one pitch, & lights for that pitch & the training ground area. Thanks to all who helped with the submission. Great new facilities for our members & for our community to actively enjoy.

Well done to the u15 hurlers who qualified for the Féile semi final in June after beating Passage, Kilbrittain and drawing with near neighbours Sliabh Rua.
