Bruce Wayne at the beginning of
#TheBatman
is a self serving vigilante who doesn’t care about being Bruce Wayne and he certainly doesn’t care about his public image. He just wants to be Batman. Those complaining about the lack of playboy Bruce missed the point.
#TheBatman
literally told you where Bruce is headed next. He’s changing his ways, he’s developed into a reborn man and the result of that will be a much more traditional Batman/Bruce dynamic going forward. They’re literally telling you this. Playboy Bruce is coming.
Gotta give mad props to this guy for being in the suit and cowl for practically every scene in a three hour movie and not having an ego about not getting enough face time on camera. A lot of actors wouldn’t be cool with that
The Suicide Squad, Dune, No Time To Die, and The Batman are textbook examples of what modern blockbusters should look, sound, and be directed like. Tired of the death of directorial vision in Blockbusters
This is so cool but they really need to just put him in a spandex Spidey suit and let him go nuts instead of putting him in cgi capture stuff. Just let him wear the actual suit as much as possible!
I think the reason why The Batman was such a hit and avoided being another DC tank besides it being non DCEU was how clearly in the marketing it showed its artistry and craftsmanship. It showed that it was different from the majority of recent CBMs. Everyone was intrigued by it
The funny thing about The Batman being called humorless is that it’s actually a pretty funny film. There just aren’t your standard one liner quips. It’s all clever humor.
"If good writing comes in and people want to do stuff with me, I'll always be open to that, but it's got to be good."

Important thing to note:
Just because
#TheBatman
is out and it’s awesome doesn’t mean the Nolan films are now retroactively trash. You can love the past and embrace the present at the same time. Without those films, we don’t get The Batman. They’re legitimately revolutionary
The Echo vs. Daredevil scene takes place during the blip period, which means we have 5+ years of unseen Daredevil lore. Also, since Matt wasn’t blipped, he heard thousands of heartbeats disappear at once
This guy wrote a ton of sci-fi stuff like Avatar 2, War of The Worlds, and The Sarah Conner chronicles as opposed to the old writers who wrote a Rebel Wilson comedy about K Pop 💀
1. Charlie Cox is the best leading actor in the MCU
2. If you told me this line came from the Netflix show, I’d believe you. It feels like a seamless continuation.
The shot of Peter running through the alleyway of smoke pissed off and ripping his shirt Superman style is one of the hardest things I’ve ever seen in any movie
I’m no MCU apologist, but the Flash Thompson scene making the rounds on Twitter lasts about 7 seconds (less since it cuts back to Spider-Man). I actually went back and watched the scene and timed it. Calm down.
The
#Morbius
film uses Raimi Daily Bugle logo, Raimi Spider-Man art, TASM Oscorp logo, MCU Spider-Man murderer plot points, and MCU Vulture.
What the fuck.
So let me explain the
#Daredevil
situation:
It’s a soft reboot. Most of the same actors are returning, but the versions they’re playing are slightly different. Think of the Netflix earth as an alternate earth to the main MCU one. Similar backstories and history, different looks.
Spider-Man’s MCU arc
Captain America: Civil War: Introduction to the big time
Homecoming: Deconstructing what Peter really is without that suit. Peter’s the hero, not the suit.
Infinity War/Endgame: Being forced to step up. Holding your own as an equal even when receiving help
Also, I keep saying this, but you have to give credit to Robert Pattinson for his performance in this film. He’s in almost every scene of a 3-hour detective film where his full face is rarely shown and he gives the best Batman performance ever. He makes the film work
I think the reason why The Batman was such a hit and avoided being another DC tank besides it being non DCEU was how clearly in the marketing it showed its artistry and craftsmanship. It showed that it was different from the majority of recent CBMs. Everyone was intrigued by it
Pattinson acted his ass off and did exactly what was necessary to convey the journey the character was on. Playboy Bruce will come from this and you’ll see that side of Rob’s performance when the time comes. The time was never going to be this movie. Reeves made that clear
John Krasinski is a perfectly solid and good choice for Reed Richards. The idea that he’s not a good enough actor to play the character is honestly just the internet coping that fans manifested this to happen because of how viral the fan cast got
Spider-Man 4 is the silver bullet for Sony. If they ever greenlit the film it’s practically a free billion dollars for them. The appetite for the return to that universe has never been greater
Sam Raimi reportedly said there’s a chance of ‘SPIDER-MAN 4’ happening “simply because he has the same desire as we do.”
“If it is to happen, it will be at the right time.”

Willem Dafoe just reminded those who might’ve let it slip their mind over 20 years that he is one of the greatest comic book movie villain actors, ever.
Christian Bale was a great Batman. He was a master of playing both sides of Bruce, both the billionaire playboy facade he put on in public and the tortured soul he truly was in private. I don’t believe anyone captured that as well as him. Most of the Batman actors were great tbh.
Charlie Cox’s performance as Matt Murdock/Daredevil is the single greatest lead performance by an actor in the MCU. Get familiar with him, you’ll be seeing a lot of him.

Cut the cord = let go of vengence
Beautiful symbolism. This is the moment Batman steps fully into heroism. As he plunges into the water, he’s baptized and as he pops out he’s reborn
According to Michael Kay, Suzyn Waldman and Yankees Spanish language play-by-play announcer Rickie Ricardo saved John Sterling’s life after his car got stuck after trying to drive through a flood
Far From Home: Trusting yourself to make the right decisions and to know you just have to be yourself
No Way Home: Spider-Man is all about sacrifice, tragedy, and pushing forward. Spidey is a healer, not a violent force. He is positive change and a beacon of light in darkness
Reasons why there are only 5 villains in
#SpiderManNoWayHome
:
A. Those 5 villains are the most emotionally tied to Andrew and Tobey
B. Sony is planning a Sinister Six film that will consist of Tom Holland and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe characters and don’t want confusion
There is no “We have to wait for the sequel to know for sure”. They literally told you that. That was the arc for Bruce. Bruce mended his relationship with Alfred so now he has someone to be human with, and he mended his relationship with himself
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 is on the fast track. Holland is signed, but one thing that needs to be settled is the director. Watts is wanted back, but he experienced superhero burnout and dropped out of Fantastic Four for a reason. Zendaya is also wanted back.

Next thing I need from Marvel Studios’ creative reset on Daredevil: Born Again is for them to switch the Daredevil font back to the original one. It’s so much cooler.
When Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton return, it’s time for Boone to officially name Clint the starting left fielder. This guy leapfrogged Tauchman, Gardner, and Andujar, did all the right things to improve, matured as a person, and fixed his most fatal flaw.
Charlie Cox had to play a blind man, perform endlessly detailed and complicated fight choreography, and step into a character that’s one of the most morally complex in all of Marvel. He also had to carry 13 1 hour episodes a season. His performance is undeniably the best imo.
1. Charlie Cox is the best leading actor in the MCU
2. If you told me this line came from the Netflix show, I’d believe you. It feels like a seamless continuation.
I talk so much about my excitement about the return of Daredevil and Kingpin, but something that’s been slept on is the fact that Jon Bernthal is returning as The Punisher. Such a massive win for Marvel Studios to have an actor of his caliber in the fold
The Yankees after 2017 were considered to be the next big baseball dynasty. Under Aaron Boone we have won 1 division in 4 years and only 1 division series. The Boone era has been a total and complete failure. The Baby Bombers failed.
Doctor Strange 2 is going to be a big celebration of Marvel, much like how
#SpiderManNoWayHome
was a big celebration of the Spider-Man franchise. Expect a ton of crazy cameos as Strange and Wanda battle throughout the multiverse
For obvious reasons, I was asked to keep this a secret but Marvel did indeed reach out to Affleck for a cameo as Daredevil. They sent out preliminary contracts to his team but i'm not sure if anything came of it.
Whether or not you like these films doesn’t matter. What matters is that you never have to question how much control the director had over the film. TSS is pure James Gunn, The Batman is pure Matt Reeves etc…
The MCU nitpicking over the past few years is far more tiresome than MCU shilling. I don’t care that Wolverine’s sleeveless look has no shoulder guards or that the void is color graded a little too flat. At some point you’re just looking for things to complain about
If i were Tom Holland i would do what Daniel Radcliffe did after Harry Potter and just take the most crazy, obscure, fun roles instead of trying to be in more franchises
Aaron Hicks is practically 100 percent healthy, making him the first baseball player to ever receive Tommy John Surgery and not miss a game. He picked a great time.
Christopher Nolan says he got hooked on the story of Oppenheimer after Robert Pattinson gifted him a book of Oppenheimer’s speeches at the ‘TENET’ wrap party.

#DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness
is a Stephen vs. Wanda film. It’s got those fun cameos, but they’re pretty much all in service of the story. The Illuminati are there for specific reasons. The multiverse is a backdrop for this battle between 2 incredibly powerful beings
Secret Wars is definitely in development at Marvel. The Russos were confirmed to be in talks about a secret MCU project and now we’re getting these scoops. This is the next big Endgame level event.
According to Michael Kay, Mike Shildt was fired by the Cardinals because the front office wanted to fire some coaches on his staff and replace them with more analytical guys. Shildt stood up for his guys and went with them.
@Ziipho__
Most superhero suits are not comfortable to wear at all. They’re made to look good, but they’re not actually comfortable for the actor to wear
I’m gonna give y’all a
#TheBatman
scoop:
Like
#SpiderManNoWayHome
, everything I’ve heard has been super positive. It’s borderline rated R, and the only reason it’s not rated R is because there’s no nudity or F bombs, but it comes close. Heard Pattinson stands out as well.
Michael Kay says the
#Yankees
really wanted Michael Brantley and/or Kyle Schwarber in the offseason and they wanted to play here, but they didn’t have the payroll flexibility to fit one of them in
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 needs to be a lot like Spider-Man 2 (2004) in terms of Peter’s place in life, state of mind, and characterization. I want real emotional effects of the decision he’s made, but as Spider-Man always does, he pushes forward and onward
Charlie Cox will be first seen back as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. He will also suit up as Daredevil in She-Hulk.
Vincent D’Onofrio will be first seen back as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Hawkeye. He will then appear in Echo.
Spider-Man Twitter trying to convince themselves that they made Marvel and Sony course correct are hilarious when there’s video evidence of Jon Watts explaining the arc was always the plan. You don’t have to like it, but they were always planning on stripping him down
A lot of praise for Robert Pattinson in the comments for this clip. I was told he was the standout of the film. It rests on his shoulders. He’s been one of the best actors in Hollywood for a decade so this shouldn’t be surprising
Joey Gallo didn’t record a hit yesterday and impacted the 2 games in 3 different ways
1. Being a lefty forced Cora to take out Whitlock for a lefty
2. Count even at 2-2 and worked a walk to set up Voit’s GW hit
3. Saving a run with a no hop perfect throw home
Appreciate him.

Q&A. You can ask anything you want, but I’m going to only answer questions I can leave open ended so I don’t spoil the film on the timeline. Fire away
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn’t a competently put together film. It’s BEAUTIFUL to look at and Garfield and Stone are always amazing, but in good conscience I can’t put that film anywhere other than last place on the Spider-Man rankings. I feel similarly towards Spider-Man 3
