The third-year jump the Giants need from Daniel Jones is different from the one other QBs have done/will make. He doesn't need to get "better." His good is already great. What he needs is to get rid of his bad, which is terrible, often ill-timed, and can be team-crippling.

I'm told both Sterling Shepard and Blake Martinez agreed to base salaries of roughly $2.25m with a chance to double that ($5m or so) in total with incentives in new deals. Should drop Martinez's cap # from $14m to about $8 and Shepard's from $12.4m to about $6.5m.

It was only the preseason but... The Giants led the NFL in total offense (382.7 ypg), passing yards (272.7) and completions (102). They led the NFC in passing attempts (143) as well as fewest sacks allowed (3). The fact those last two happened concurrently is pretty good.

I keep seeing that the Giants' 4-1 record is their best "start" since 2009. Folks, the Giants have had 4 or less Ws in three of the last five FULL seasons & no more than 6 in seven of the last eight. This is already one of their most successful seasons in nearly a decade.
