Two and a half years ago we reported a leak in our living room roof to our landlord. This is what we are obligated to do via our rental agreement and he is, both morally and legally, obligated to sort it. He did nothing. In March of this year, the ceiling collapsed. 1/x

This is an obvious health and safety issue and a failure to provide adequate housing if it's not dealt with. We urged our landlord to contact @TowerHamletsNow to deal with the issue. They provided us with this: a plank of wood, held up by a stick. 2/x

I mean nothing. Our landlord, you will be very surprised to know, said he "thought the issue had been fixed". This is despite the fact that there is a huge hole in the roof, which he would have to fix, as it is his property. We now have a paddling pool to collect the water 4/x

Mould spread through the flat. Everything is damp, we have the dehumidifier running constantly on an energy bill we pay for. Our extractor fan in our bathroom doesn't work. I had to insulate our windows because they were literally just open: 7/x

£10 insulation tape has saved my flat from the cold

Dodgy windows throughout my flat means I used to insulate everything with toilet paper - now a £9.99 insulation tape from Amazon has done a much better job

My flat mate @txbamxnmicxh_s didn't have a window for over a year - and through the winter. Literally, the window was just permanently open (you can tell by the photos how bad they are). He reported this in 2022. It was replaced last week. 8/x
