This is how my small apartment looked like when I was offered a 3 million for 50% Moja Chicken shares and I still said NO. That time I didn't even have food in the house. This pic was taken on a Sunday when I was calling all my friends to eWallet me a R100 to buy food. BE PATIENT
17 months old
5 stores
20 employees
6 months partnership with one big insurance company
9 billboards in Gauteng (Up next week Friday)
Official TV & Radio Ad (Going Live this Friday on mainstream channels).
I have built this brand from nothing but passion and determination. 🙏
Moja Chicken Soweto - Gauteng
Moja Chicken Elukwatini - MP
Moja Chicken Burgersfort - Limpopo
Moja Chicken Cosmo City - Gauteng
Moja Chicken Kokstad - KZN
Moja Chicken Durban - KZN - Opening soon
Moja Chicken Kimberley - NC - Opening Soon
NB: All achieved in less than 2yrs
In 2020 I was driving from Limpopo to Jozi and stopped at the filling station to pour some gas. I saw this gentleman with torn shoes and I asked to offer him a pair of sneakers and he said yes with a smile. Told him to open the boot and pick any sneaker he likes.
I’ve launched Shandis in Feb this year and I have sold over 500 pairs all straight from Facebook. I haven’t sold even a single pair on Twitter. This has made me realise that twitter people all they know is trolling people and engaging on negativity all day. Y’all should do better
6 IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT MOJA CHICKEN...
1. Black owned franchise
2. Founder is 33 years old
3. No previous experience in the food industry or retail.
4. No formal education but just a DREAM.
5. Self funded business
6. 8 stores opened in 2yrs
NB: IT IS POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE
Friday when I got to Burgersfort this gentleman who works as a petrol attended gave me the best service. Today when I stopped by the same garage, the same gentleman helped me. I saw his shoes & asked him to open my boot and pick any shoes he wants and he picked
@DRIPFootWear
This is not nice at at all, all I did was to release my own sneaker brand and not to beef with anyone but fede. It's in the public that I supported Drip when it all started. This is lame bro fuck.
I have wholeheartedly supported Theo and Lekau, not only by buying their shoes but speaking great of their brands to people and also convincing some to support too.
I have no regrets of supporting because these two gentlemen inspired me and they have shown us that it is possible
Grand Opening Today!!!
Moja Chicken Phalaborwa - Namakgale. Behind Maphutha Malatji Hospital

NB: You can bring your beverages. Danko!!!
Happy 59th birthday Mom... It's almost a year since we lost you but the pain gets more and more every time I'm home. Love you strong and I'm gonna make you super proud.
Today is a very exciting and emotional day for me as I receive my very first Shandis stock. I started this journey last year March the 8th and it has been a very long, stressful and draining 10 months. I am happy to announce that we’re ready to sell.
#ShandisFootwear
I'm just a village boy from Taung who came to Johannesburg to chase his dreams. All i had was hope and dreams and my late mother told me not to give up
Signed and sealed!!!
Shandis Footwear is opening its first store soon at Newtown Junction upstairs next to Sportscene.
We are about to create jobs for South Africans
This was in 2020 at Taung taxi rank selling chicken by the corner all day everyday for 2 months . That was the most exciting & tough times during lockdown and many restrictions in the country. I had to take it to the streets to make end’s means without batho ba tla reng syndrome
Proud to be one of the very first people to wear Drip with pride when it was still in its starting phase and later got all my stuff in Soweto hooked. Good to see the growth of the brand since then.
Danko!!!
We thrilled to announce that Moja Chicken have appointed its first poultry farmer to supply all stores with chicken products. Congratulations our dear sister and we are happy that it is a deal that makes both parties happy. We happy that it happened to be black female farmer.
No one should tell you how to write your own story… keep going and accept rejections with pure heart and smile.
NB: Remember the aim is not to sell a sneaker everyday but to introduce it to at least 10 people everyday.
I was born and raised in a village called Taung ko North West.
2005- Move to Jozi & lived in a small shack ko Thokoza.
2006 - Used to walk around Yeoville asking people for money.
2008- Worked as a security guard
2010- Sold insurance ko strateng
All i had was a DREAM
Let me clear the air, i didn't receive any FUNDING from any institution. I worked & saved money, changed my lifestyle, quit my 7 year job, cashed out all my funds both provident & savings then STARTED Moja Chicken. I invested 95% of the money i had when i started. I TOOK A RISK
I'm just a village boy from Taung with big DREAMS. Holding my own sneaker brand and knowing that in 2 months time people will be wearing it too. It's just an amazing feeling ever. Dreams are dreams, no matter where you come from, with or without a formal education. JUST DREAM!!!
This picture was taken on the 25th of January 2020 when Moja Chicken was opening its 2nd store and i invited
@LekauSehoana
and
@DRIPFootWear
to come and do a pop up store.
I am happy to see the growth of Drip and so much job creation.
Danko Is Thank You!!!
@KasiEconomy
I went back to gym to work on my mental health and strength because i was feeling like I'm hitting a wall. Little did i know that i will be undergoing a physical transformation also.

Another deal in the bag...
Moja Chicken has signed a deal with Capitec bank to install ATMs at all Moja Chicken stores. The Lord, the almighty, I thank you. 🙏
She's 58 and I'm 33... She raised me with just R1200 she used to earn as a domestic worker. Got my first job when I was 19 and asked her to go back home and I'll take care of her. I'd rather be single than being told not to give you money and the life you deserve. I love you 😍
Woke up at home and it was too quiet then I realized that my mom and grandmother aren't alive anymore. A very emotional morning for me and my siblings.
I used to work for a tobacco company for 7 years, i left in 2019 and cashed out all my savings including provident funds. I was paid R520k and I took R450k and invested on Moja Chicken. That time it was just an idea but I strongly believed in it. BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS & BE BRAVE
My name is Letlhogonolo Motseeng, 34yrs old and I'm just a village boy from Taung with big DREAMS and PLANS. My late Mom used to tell me that I am not Letlhogonolo by name but I am Letlhogonolo by purpose. I am highly blessed & favoured by the almighty God. Have a blessed Sunday
None of Moja Chicken positions requires a scarce skill so i hire South Africans only and unapologetically so. I still give those without any work experience a chance and provide training for them.

Final touch ups...
Come join us for our grand opening this coming Saturday at Moja Chicken Phalaborwa - Namakgale. Behind Maphutha Malatji Hospital. We will open from 10am - 11pm
Danko!!!
2yrs ago when I started Moja Chicken, I knew nothing about the food industry. A friend of mine who is a professional chef took me by a hand and taught me every single thing. 2yrs later he gets retrenched from his 9to5 and I am now helping him to open his own Moja Chicken store.
PLEASE NOTE :
I have currently met up with the Nando's COO & CFO and i am currently under their guidance and mentorship regarding the industry . Indlela ibuzwa kwa badala and Nando's have been in the game for 34 years, Moja Chicken is only 2 years old, so i have to seek guidance
RIP my dear friend I have no words for this, my heart is broken right now . Mfana we literally spent the whole day together yesterday kanti that was the last time I ever had to see you again. I loved you boy and those were my last words to you when I left 😭😭😭😭
@RIPMphoSebeng
Each Moja Chicken store cost R450k to build and you get people questioning why do i sell a franchise for R550k without doing proper research on container concepts. Those who believe in my brand have invested and they know the value of this beautiful brand.
@RonnyLedwaba
And maybe, just maybe, a friend came with beers and left me one? Remember there are friends who would rather buy you alcohol but not foos

Such comments hurts to think people still believes a black man can't do it without being funded or having a white man behind. That time i never ever had any funding even from the government. Mara fede
