Botham "Bo" Jean was a dear friend and colleague to many of us, and a member of our PwC family. His tragic death is a terrible loss for us. My heart is breaking for his family, friends and colleagues.
We are heartbroken to hear of the death of PwC New Zealand family member Areeb Ahmed who was killed in Friday’s mosque attack. Our thoughts are with Areeb’s family, the other victims, & the Muslim community. We must condemn and fight hatred and bigotry in all of its forms.
Bo Jean, Michael Brown, Jemel Roberson, Eric Garner, Philando Castile, Tamir Rice, Alton Sterling, Sandra Bland, Freddie Gray, Ahmaud Arbery and now
#GeorgeFloyd
and countless others. We must continue to fight for justice and to end racism.
It is my responsibility to use my privilege to dismantle injustice, and this change starts at home. Here is what we are doing at
@PwCUS
to stand up against racism:
I am deeply disturbed by what is taking place at the Capitol. Violence has no place in our democratic process & threatens our very way of life. We must support a peaceful transfer of power and get back to the critical business of fighting the virus & turning our economy around.
Bo’s death was a heartbreak for all of us at
@PwCUS
. I’m asking you to remember the tremendous person we lost at the center of this, our beloved friend and colleague Bo. He is dearly missed, but we can make sure his impact lives on by being kind & generous to everyone around us.
It was an honor to pay tribute to Bo today and be with all the people who loved Bo & who Bo loved the most. His memory will continue to inspire all of us to be better people. May you RIP Botham Jean.
A year ago we lost an incredible friend & colleague, Botham “Bo” Jean. We remember Bo for his generous spirit - giving so much of himself to all. Bo continues to have a profound impact on us, and we can honor him by practicing empathy - especially in the face of uncertainty.
Today in Dallas we celebrated Bo Jean’s life ahead of what would have been his birthday tomorrow, and remembered him at our fall partner meetings. He continues to impact us every single day. We will not forget to
#BeLikeBo
.
My goals for
@PwCUS
at this time are simple: To protect our people and continue to serve our clients. As we think ahead to a healthy, productive future on the other side of the situation we're in, I share my guiding principles:
Now that I am working remotely and all my kids and I are at home together every day, we have been taking 30 minute
#BeWellWorkWell
breaks. Today we are making sure that we are ready for whenever Little League opens once we beat
#coronavirus
!!
I’m in awe of this family and how they have been able to show such compassion in the wake of such immense loss. Bo’s legacy of kindness lives on and we can all learn from this.
#BeLikeBo
To everyone at
@PwCUS
- Thank you for caring for one another & rolling up your sleeves to help our clients in this unprecedented time. I am proud to say that we remain open for business (even as we
#WFH
!) and ready to tackle business' toughest challenges because of YOU.
#COVID19
2 years ago, our friend & colleague Botham Jean was shot in his own home by a police officer while watching football & eating ice cream. As we remember him,
#SayHisName
, & do the work to making society better, I invite you to read the words of Bo's mother:
We work hard, but work isn’t who we are. As
@PwCUS
shuts our doors for the week, I hope everyone can enjoy the well-deserved time off and connect to whatever it is that makes us each feel complete.

#BeWellWorkWell
It feels GREAT to say goodbye to 2020... but let's not forget all that the last year has taught us about our values, how we treat each other, and what is truly important. The promise of 2021 is greatest when we put what we've learned into action. Onward and upward!!
CEOs hold our seats for a relatively short period of time. I am so proud and humbled to lead
@PwCUS
as we do great things together - and I feel that my responsibility to help tackle big issues extends beyond our walls.
I am so proud of what the people of
@PwCUS
have accomplished over the last year - and yesterday we said "thank you" by announcing new
#benefits
designed not just to to give back, but to support them in the year ahead:
Today, we commemorate the end of slavery in the US. This
#Juneteenth
, I am continuing to educate myself about the deeply embedded, systemic racism in our nation. I encourage others to do the same so that we are all better equipped to be a part of the solution.
I’m proud to announce that we have helped our people pay down $25 million in their student debt. I’m proud that we were one of the first firms to offer this benefit and that we are making such an impact
@PwCUS
#PwCProud
Today we remember the lives we lost this day 17 years ago, including five members of our PwC family. We must
#neverforget
that day and the kindness and compassion that we showed each other as we came together as a nation following 9/11
Today,
@PwCUS
is taking another bold step in its D&I journey. For the first time, we share our
#diversity
data and strategy. We are committed to building a culture of belonging and hope to encourage other businesses to do the same.
Excited to see the newly designed space in our 300 Madison

Thank you John Lewis for your service to our country. Your leadership in civil rights, in Congress & in fighting for equality & racial justice have inspired a new generation of leaders to fight to make America a better place for everyone
#RIPJohnLewis
. We owe a great debt to you.
Watching the video of the shooting of Jacob Blake is heartbreaking. This is not where our society should be in 2020, and it is devastating to see this happen over & over. My thoughts go out to Jacob Blake in his recovery & to all the families who wrongly endure this kind of pain.
Today marks another year passed since 9/11. We remember our
@PwCUS
colleagues we lost on that day - Brian Kinney, Kelly Booms, Jessica Sachs, Dan Brandhorst & Pat Quigley - And the brave first responders and many others who were tragically lost as well. Let us

Today is an important day for

- I am so proud to announce
#TheNewEquation
, our new strategy that reimagines our business around delivering trust and sustained outcomes:
I am so lucky to be a member of this family and my family at
@PwCUS
. Hoping that everyone can take a moment to reflect and be truly thankful this Thanksgiving!!
It's hard to believe that we just wrapped our very last firm webcast of 2020. It has been my privilege to guide the incredible people of
@PwCUS
through this wild year, and I'm thrilled that it's nearly time for
#PwCTakesABreak
!
This holiday season, we're shutting down to do what we love so we can come back better than ever. I can't wait to see what everyone is doing with their time off, so this yr I'll be RT'ing my favorite

The business community has a huge role to play in driving real change on systemic racism. As we mark the 3-year anniversary of

On our first day back from

No one should fear losing their job because of who they are. Today, the Supreme Court agreed. This is a huge victory for the LGBTQ+ community and equality -- an especially inspiring moment this
#Pride
month.
It is impossible to recognize
#InternationalWomensDay
without acknowledging how hard the last year has been on women.
To women, I say: thank you for all that you do.
To men, I say: it is up to us to be allies, make space, and listen.
Thank you John McCain for your integrity, bravery and service. You showed us the importance of always trying to do the right thing and putting country above politics. RIP
On this last day of the decade, I hope everyone at
@PwCUS
and
@CEOAction
can look back at the great work we’ve done and be as proud as I am. Thank you to everyone for all your hard work and dedication - Looking forward to sharing a great

with you all!
This country changed forever 18 years ago today. We remember those we lost, including 5 members of our
@PwCUS
family, and we honor the first responders who acted without pause to help. Let us
#neverforget
how we united on 9/11 as a nation and how we're stronger together.
I hope to be part of a solution that starts with recognizing that bias, whether explicit or implicit, is dangerous and has no place in our workplace or society.

On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we honor all lives lost that day–including 5 members of our own

Shaken to learn of the lives lost at the
#TreeofLife
Synagogue in Pittsburgh this morning. This kind of violence has no place in our communities and we must do more to overcome the bias that fuels it. My heart is with the victims' families and the Jewish community tonight.
We're all facing disruption and challenges in this environment, but some are feeling it more than others. I'm so proud of the PwC Foundation's commitment to
@DirectRelief
and
@FeedingAmerica
during this crisis.
Giving the commencement address at my high school alma mater today was so special, especially having had a pretty colorful report card! It was great to be able to share what I’ve learned from my mistakes - and celebrate! - with these great kids who have had a tough year (1/2)
Leading through the pandemic has been one of the biggest challenges of my career, but one that I feel privileged to take on because the people of
@PwCUS
mean so much to me. Honored that we are included in

I’ve had a nice, long day with my family taking in the “good stuff” we have to be grateful for. Hoping that everyone in the

Important that

Devastated to wake up and learn about another mass shooting in America. Praying for the community of Dayton, Ohio and a speedy recovery for the people injured. Take care of your loved ones.
What an exceptional moment of camaraderie.
What we can learn from these tremendous women:
1. Competition should bring out the best in us
2. Losing isn’t failing, it’s learning
3.
#Vulnerability
does not equal weakness- it equals great strength!!
To everyone celebrating
#Easter
today, wishing you a peaceful day connected to loved ones near and far. And to the healthcare professionals and other essential workers who are at work today, we thank you!!!
Highlight: “Many companies were able to use layoffs as a last resort,”
@PwCUS
Chair CEO
@Timothy_F_Ryan
says. “In our dialogues with CEOs and CFOs, they’re doing everything they can to help the economy and their employees by keeping them employed as long as possible.”
Thank you to our veterans who have faithfully served our country and kept us safe at great sacrifice. You and your families are so valued.

For everyone who is celebrating the start of Passover tonight, I hope you find comfort and joy with your family and friends even if you can’t be with them in person. Passover reminds us how relisient the human spirit is and how we can overcome the toughest of times. Chag Sameach.
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Inspiring words from
#MLK
Today and everyday, we can't be silent or afraid to have difficult conversations about race, diversity and inclusion.
Happy
#July4th
! I hope everyone is spending time with family & friends even if you can’t be together in person. As we celebrate our nation’s independence, it’s important to reflect on the work we still have to do to make our country “a more perfect union” for all people.
In this uncertain time,
@PwCUS

Privileged to speak with

Yet another school shooting. This time in Highlands Ranch, CO not far from Columbine. Thinking of the 8 students who were injured and hoping for their speedy recovery. This can’t keep happening. We need leadership to keep our kids safe from gun violence.
As we celebrate Pride🏳️🌈this weekend with
#PrideMonth
coming to an end, it’s important to remember the Black trans people who helped start a movement 51 years ago today. Here’s to continued progress and equality for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community.
Today is

Today on

let’s honor those who gave their lives to protect the country that gives us so many opportunities. Let’s remember them as we cherish the time we spend with family and friends this long weekend.
Thank you
@HowardU
for having me on campus today. Your students are doing great things and I was honored to get to speak with them about business, technology and societal issues facing our country and world.
Yesterday’s shootings in Atlanta are devastating for the victims’ families and our Asian American community. Over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, Asian American racism has risen and this violent act increases the fear. We must stand together against hate.

This weekend serves as a reminder that there is still much to be done to advance diversity and inclusion and the time for work is now.
