Arsenal had 22 fouls vs Porto's 14. Arsenal also had 65% poss. If we possession-adjust these fouls we get 31.4 fouls (per 45 min of opp. poss.) for Arsenal, 2.9x higher than the 10.7 for Porto. Compared to ~600 champions league matches from 2021-2024 these are EXTREME outliers

@TMftbl also, all ACL injuries are not the same… I believe when initially reported there was info that while meeting the need for surgery, the repair work necessary wasn’t going to be that bad (no meniscus damage, for instance)… recovery from surgery timelines can vary widely
