High school sports can tear your heart & sometimes cause you to question a lot of things. I’ve always contended that they are a microcosm of life. Participation allows you to better deal w/what lies ahead after H.S. Those that don’t take advantage of them are missing out.

After spending 18 years in the Central 10 Conference, the @HoldregeDusters Board of Education has voted to end that membership effective June 30, 2022 and apply to membership in their historic "home" of the Southwest Conference effective July 1, 2022.

EXTREME windchills, trouble getting heating units up and running after lengthy power outages, buses gelling up, and now talk of potential rolling electrical outages. Otherwise, things seem to be rolling pretty smoothly for @HoldregeDusters

40% of @HoldregeDuster students qualify for free or reduced meals. We try to take into account ALL families before making decisions on weather days. On days like today, I am thankful that we can provide a warm spot for a 1,000+ students to get 1-2 meals before a cold weekend. 🌪️

I heard a story today about a young family who moved to Holdrege from Omaha. They had a chance to meet their teachers in both locations and were amazed at how much more upbeat and excited the @HoldregeDusters teachers were to work with their kids.

12/18/2020 is the final day of the 1st semester for the @HoldregeDusters . Against all odds we finished the semester with no weather or COVID interruptions while operating 100% face to face. I can't say enough about the work of ALL staff to make this happen. Merry Christmas!
