In 2011, Compagnie Die Alpes presented an ambitious project to give the Walibi parks an overarching theme, the W.A.B and the Skunx. this project was not a success and quickly disappeared again in 2016. Today we're going to see what's left of this ambitious project.

the premier access entrance of hyperspace mountain was from 1995 to 2005 the entrance to a kinda forgotten disney attraction, the stellar way. a walkthrough in which you walked past the queue of space mountain and could see all the effects in the attraction such as the meteors.

BONUS: in World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland we find this doll that will look very familiar to many Efteling fans, its pardoes. World of Frozen was designed by former Efteling designer Michel den Dulk and this was a small reference to his Efteling past. #efteling #themepark

opposite the entrance of Silver star in Europa Park we find this special bench. this bench is made from the rails of the first drop of the original Eurosat that underwent a huge renovation in 2017 and then reopened with a complete retrack and retheme as the can can coaster.

Since this season there is a historical object back at the entrance of Walibi Holland, the globe that is on the fountain at the entrance was originally placed by Six Flags in 2000 but was removed in 2010 to now take back its iconic place after 14 years. #walibiholland #themepark

Today marks 5 years since the iconic Bob disappeared from the Efteling. And something that many will not have mised is that Max and Mortitz reused the Bob's station. Despite some damage from the pranks the two rascals, the shape is still clearly recognizable. #efteling #themepark

The carts used on the La Vibora in Six Flags over texas are the original carts from the now defunct Bob at Efteling where these carts were used from 1985 to 2005.

Along the Wakobato lake we find this building with a deep history, this building is a re-themed temple that used to serve as the building of the fairy tale of Der kleine Muck. this fairy tale was there from 1967 until the Marchenwald closed in 2007. #phantasialand #themepark

if you look closely at the rails of xpress in walibi holland you will see red paint coming through the black color. this is the original color of xpress from the time that the attraction was still superman the ride from 2000 to 2004 and until 2013 when the track was painted black

When warner Bros movie world germany disappeared in 2004 movie park lost the warner bros rights and everything had to be removed quickly, one attraction where this is very clear is time riders, formerly Batman Adventure. where wayne manor and the batcave are still clearly visible

since this year we find these figureheads in the flying dutchman, but they were originally there since 2006. this should have been an effect on the lifthill, but this did not happen due to technical problems so they were removed shortly after. #efteling #themepark

A Six Flags logo can be found hidden between the hieroglyphs in the queue of Challenge of Tutankhamon. When this ride opend in 2003 the park was known as Six Flags Belgium so this was a little easter egg. #themepark #sixflags

an attraction can also be a remnant of what is no more. Goliath in Six Flags Fiesta Texas was originally Batman the ride in Six Flags New Orleans where the attraction stood from 2003 to 2005 until the park was closed by Hurricane Katrina. #sixflags #themepark

El toro, one of the most acclaimed wooden roller coasters ever, ironically reuses the station of viper, one of the most hated roller coasters ever. viper was a coaster by togo that used this station from 1995 to 2004, after which the raging bull soon took up residence. #sixflags

This closed tunnel can be found next to Black mamba. although this may seem like thematization, this is actually a remnant of Stonewash creek the log flume that stood from 1974 to 2011 on the site where Chiapas is now located. #themepark #phantasialand

The iconic Robin Hood from Walibi Holland lives on on his big brother in Belgium. Since this season, the loup-Garou in Walibi Belgium has been using a train from the former roller coaster from Walibi Holland that closed in 2018 to be converted into UNTAMED. #Walibibelgium

Next to the Opry Mills shopping center we find these rocks that are clearly man made. These rocks are left over from Grizzly River Rampage, the Intamin rapid river from the Opryland attraction park that was located on this location from 1972 to 1997. #opryland #themepark

Today we go to our 2nd last park, Walibi Rhone-Alpes. This park did not get a lot WAB theming but still has some remnants. An interesting detail is the small change in the story, with the most important detail being that Walibi plays the musical saw instead of his iconic guitar.

despite the fact that gremlins invasion has been gone for 20 years, one of the scenes lives on in van helsing's factory. the peppers ghost scene/the finale scene is still present in the attraction building hidden in the darkness. #moviepark #themepark

Next to Barcos del Mar we find this bricked up hole in the wall. this hole is a remnant of the el paso express. The BHS Metroliner attraction that stood at this location until 2015. #hansapark #themepark

Behind wolkes luftpost we find these strangely placed openings, this was the entrance to Race for Atlantis until 2016. the simulator that could be found in the park from 2005 (1994 to 2005 as a galaxy) until 2016. #phantasialand #themepark

Although Challange of Tutankhamon is now indispensable from Walibi Belgium, this used to be different. The building in which the attraction is located was originally built in 1975 and housed Tintin and The Secret of the Unicorn from 1980 to 1995. #themepark

and we arrive at the last park, Walygator Sud-ouest. this park was sold in 2014 to Aspro parks and therefore did not get as much of the WAB and SKUNX as the other parks got. however, they got just enough to have remnants of, so lets chek them out.

On landgoed steenenburg we find a pond with a strange scene consisting of Napoleon soldiers. this is a remnant of Het Land van ooit that could be found on this site from 1989 to 2007. #themepark #landvanooit

On Colorado adventure we find these mine carts. These carts originally come from a completely different mine, the Silbermine. where they stood on the facade from 1984 until the attraction's closure in 2014. #phantasialand #themepark

In pirates in Batavia in Europa park we find this boat with animatronics. Although they blend perfectly into the scene, they have a deeper history than you might think.these are the animatronics that survived the fire that destroyed the original version of the attraction in 2018.

In Hansa Park we find these rings in the shape of the park, these rings come from the time when Hansa Park was still Legoland Sierksdorf (1973 to 1976), at that time these rings were mini land. #hansapark #themepark

In Plopsaland de panne we find this decoration of wizzy and woppy, and although this is of course nothing strange these decorations do have a history. these decorations originally come from wizzy's rollerskater, the roller coaster that was rethemed in 2019 to the K3 rollerskater.

the station of the Bobcat in six flags great escape, was previously home to a completely different Bob. from 1998 to 2023 this was the station of the Alpine Bobsled. an Intamin bobsled of which there is only 1 left since the closure of the Alpine bobsled #sixflagsgreatescape

on the evacuation map in the queue of geister rickscha a scene called "rickscha" is indicated and although not accurate anymore this was different until 2002. from 1981 to 2002 the rickscha rider could be found in the scene that is now the treasure room. #phantasialand #themepark

In the pre-show of villa volta we find these gates. These gates were once part of the west entrance. This entrance was in use from 1973 to 1995 and the last remains were demolished in 2009. #efteling #themepark

the most iconic scene from gremlins invasion was the scene with the racks full of film cans, one of these racks still stands today along the track in van Helsings factory. Gremlins invasion was located in the building of van helsing's factory until it closed in 2004.

On top of the station of Powder Keg in Silver Dollar City we find this crashed train. It comes from Buzz Saw Falls, the roller coaster that was located here from 1999 to 2003, but had to leave the field with a big bang after many technical problems. #Silverdollarcity #themepark

behind the LOVE sign in the queue of UNTAMED you will see these pins sticking out of the ground. These are left over from when the Robin Hood was constructed, back then it was considered to make the layout slightly different en these are a leftover from that plan. #walibiholland

The nostalgic boat trip walzertraum used to stand on the site of the Berlin conference centre from 1993 to 2009. Nostalgic fans can still take a seat in a boat because Snack bar Imbiss An de Brück in Einruhr has transformed a boat into a seating area. #phantasialand #themepark

In buzz lightyear laser blast at Disneyland Paris we can find 9-eye in the first scene of the ride. 9-eye naturally comes from Le visionarium, which could be found from 1992 to 2004 at the curent location of buzz lightyear laser blast.

Reset in Mirabilandia is a relatively unknown darkride and this is partly due to its rather remote location in the park. this location can however be explained if we go back in time. Reset was built in a former television studio that was next to the park. #themepark #mirabilandia

If you look behind you in Geister Rickscha you will see the old audio systems of the attraction against the back of the Rickscha. these were in use from 1981 to 2002 when they were replaced by normal audio systems incorporated into the scenes. #phantasialand #themepark

in Festival of Freaks we find these 2 heads that originally stood on the facade of the former 4D theater club Psyke. Here they were present from the opening in 2012 until the closure of the theater in 2016, since when they have been used as Halloween decorations. #walibiholland

Around the lake we find this tree, a somewhat strange tree, this tree was originally part of the Marchenwald, the fairytale forest of Phantasialand.This tree is also the oldest standing part of Phantasialand as it was placed in 1967. The Marchenwald closed in 2007. #phantasialand

At Train station bierges-walibi we find a sign that directs us to Six flags, although today it is no longer accurate, from 2001 to 2004 this was a different story. At that time Walibi Belgium was known as Six flags Belgium. #sixflags #themepark

The oldest remnant in Movie Park can be found, strangely enough, at one of the newest attractions. the hall that houses the queue of Star Trek Operation Enterprise comes from Traumland, the predecessor of Movie Park. #themepark #moviepark

If you pay close attention in burgers' zoo, you will find this bird on many signs on the place where the manatee should be. this bird represents the old mangrove hall that stood in the park from 1992 to 2017. #burgerszoo

In 2011, Compagnie Die Alpes presented an ambitious project to give the Walibi parks an overarching theme, the W.A.B and the Skunx. this project was not a success and quickly disappeared again in 2016. Today we're going to see what's left of this ambitious project.

In Geisterschloss in Europa Park we find a bit of a strange remnant a remnant from another park. in one of the first scenes we find this pig that is originally from Burg Falkenstein. the dark ride from holiday park where this pig could be found from 1987 till the closure in 2022.

in The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure in Chessington World of Adventures we find this fountain tunnel that has been reused from the former dark rides that were in this location, these were Professor Burps Bubbleworks (1990 - 2005) and Bubble works (2006 - 2017) #chessington

In terra mitica we find this tower, which was the old entrance to Titanide (then Tizona) before it was moved to its current location in 2009 because the park had to sell the land on which the roller coaster stood on due to financial problems. #terramitica #themepark

The station from Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is the remnant of one of the most iconic rides ever. the station is in fact reused from Dueling dragons. the iconic B&M roller coaster that stood here from 1999 to 2017. #universalstudios #themepark

and we go on to playground, an area that was WAB plaza until 2023 and was themed after the WAB. here we find of course the largest remnant, the speed of sound. which, apart from its onride music, still has all its WAB vs SKUNX theming.

Next to the talking tree in geister rikscha we find this figure that has not always been stuck in the realm of the dead, it was originally part of the fairy tale Der kleine Muck that could be found in the park from 1967 until the closure of the Marchenwald in 2007 #phantasialand

in the queue of untamed we find this piece of rail with a train on it, this is an original piece of track with an original robin hood cart on it. Robin hood is the roller coaster that untamed was built on and operated from 2000 until 2018. #themepark #walibi

in Festival of freaks we find this statue of 3 horses. This statue originally comes from Il gladiator, the original theme of Spinning vibe. This statue was present on the attraction from the opening in 2000 until the retheme in 2012. #themepark #walibiholland

In Psyké Underground at Walibi Belgium you can find this thing in the queue it is the old flywheel mechanism that the ride was using until 2013. The sentence above it "Psyké Underground escape turbine" is a reference to the rides previous name "Turbine". #themepark #walibi

The bubble swirl is still themed to the power of the character Fibi. Fibi was the singer of the WAB and had the power to make bubbles.
