Why is this even a question? Lord Krishna was a Kshatriya, of the Chandravanshi clan of the Yadavas. Modern groups who use the "Yadav" title were of Herding people who were given this new name by the Arya Samajis through Sanskritization in 1900s. Real Yadavas are in Rajputs.
