A lot of it can be attributed to the fact that black people donβt really seek mental healthcare because of negative historical and current treatment by the healthcare system. So the cycle just continues generation after generation. π«

Selling my body? Weird. All my body parts are right here. Weird how you think reducing women purely to what we have to offer sexually is more empowering than supporting workers like any actual Marxist should.
Just a reminder, when you refer to sex work as βselling your bodyβ youβre reducing the sex workerβs body purely to what we have to offer sexually. The fact that people only use this kind of phrasing with sex work despite the fact that all kinds of labor requires the use of the

Despite the fact that weβre portrayed as people who loot and murder during disaster, history has shown time and time again that we actually help each other.
I really think we need to talk about white privilege in sex work. I see so many posts all day talking about deposits, being face in, not seeing clients from certain demographics etc. And the straight up truth is that the advice youβre giving is not as applicable to everyone
@CaribbeanRoseee
Way happier escorting than I was working in the cannabis industry or at Starbucks. I have way better work-life balance and I donβt have to deal with the indentured servitude or college loans while I get my masters. If youβre jealous, just say so. π

I definitely agree the responsibility is on the individual to do better. But the mistrust in mental healthcare in the community makes a lot of sense when looking at historical context. And truthfully the mental healthcare system continues to abuse black and brown people to this
βWhy would I civ date when i have great clients?β
Idk why would you have friends if you have great coworkers?
Work to live. Don't live to work. Some of the outlooks I see make me sad and concerned.

She doesnβt. Sheβs making assumptions to try to make herself look better but in reality just made herself look like a bitch imo.
As you think it is. The straight up truth is that white women are automatically viewed as more upscale and thus more deserving of business and higher rates than black women. When you give advice on how to run your business PLEASE acknowledge the white privilege you have first.

I had a therapist who would tell me wayyyy too much about her personal life. Telling me about her relationship with her mom and her estranged son. Even her ex boyfriendβs sexual habits. It was extremely weird. I stopped seeing her.

I maintain that if we lived in a society that encouraged mutual aid instead of competition, then people would be less traumatized.
Fascinating that people always look at SW in particular like weβre the only ones who could have been traumatized into our work. Itβs like these people have never met a therapist. ππ
I love seeing repeat clients who first came to me as virgins. Seeing them build confidence in their sexual and dating abilities and themselves overall is genuinely rewarding. π
My civ job is so cool about me doing FSSW. One of my coworkers is a retired FSSW herself. The world needs more people like this. I wish all my colleagues had civ jobs like this. π₯Ήπ₯Ή
