Ole Miss at Tulane would have been fun. Both teams ranked. They have never been to Tulane. Game sold out. It would have been a good atmosphere in New Orleans. It is always fun when they go to a new place.

FAU was one of the best teams in college basketball from November until the end. Just because they aren’t a brand name doesn’t mean that in this particular season they were not exceptional. They were.
@TWDTV1
@sluggahjells
Could go either way but defender invaded her space, was not set and was still moving forward toward Clark when Clark initiated a move. I'd lean toward defensive foul.

It would also be a completely normal and very healthy thing for a father to spend some uninterrupted peaceful time getting physical activity in with his autistic son.
@bmarcello
Interestingly enough, when it comes time to cut, it always seems to be the person making $40k working 80 hours a week doing what should be 3 jobs, and never the ADs or their bonuses for building unneeded facilities under the fat budget or paying themselves extra for players
@franfraschilla
I am with you on making the play ins be at-large teams. Make those mediocre power teams eliminate half of themselves as low seeds before they get the honor of being sacrified to Oakland.
@franfraschilla
On the play of your season, you have to execute! UConn didn’t, and shouldn’t have been rewarded for that by not calling an obvious foul caused by that lack of execution. Players DID decide the game.
@BleacherReport
It was a great question and a great response. The reporter did his job -- he got an insightful, non-canned answer from superstar that spoke directly to fans. Miss me with the "silenced the reporter" nonsense. Thank him for asking it so we got a candid answer.

@USATODAY
@cbrennansports
So now you get to talk about who *isn’t* on your team for weeks? Smooth move …
NBC right now: “YOU DID WHAT? Is it too late to cancel the check?”
@PaulBiancardi
Expand the tournament to 76. But the play in round must be all at-large bids. Make these extra mediocre P5s knock each other out before they go on to get run out by Oakland.
@EmmanuelAcho
The players DID decide the game. They failed to execute basic basketball on their biggest set of season, resulting in obvious and blatant foul for advantage. No different than if they had taken 7 steps without dribbling. Error of execution, not officiating.
There was a little news today as I was named General Manager of Starnes Media and the interim tag removed from my role as Editor in Chief. Locked in to help our team reinvent impactful hyperlocal community journalism with our brands and beyond….

Disgusting to hear chair committee using “bid stealer” language. There is NO SUCH THING. Those bids are EARNED.If someone is sitting home who otherwise might not have been, it is THEIR FAULT for leaving that possibility open by not EARNING IT. Period. The end.
@NancyLieberman
Terrible execution by UConn. Championship moment, gross execution resulting in obvious foul to gain advantage. Just as bad as if they had thrown the ball into the 3rd row.
Want to know how the UAB football program came back to life? It all started with a kid in a wheelchair who had a dream and faith. Read "Ever Faithful, Ever Loyal'' and prepare to be inspired while also learning the backstory of The Return.

Yeah, let’s just pretend there haven’t been multiple economic downturns, rapid technological disruption of entire industries, a glut of startups to boom or bust and a global pandemic to kick millions of people out of work. Instead stick with 1990s thinking.
@IsiahThomas
What Doc didn’t have was rules changed to allow walk walk walk walk walk walk walk while no one breathes on you, either. He also didn’t get those rules changes while 70s kids called 60s players “plumbers” who didn’t have freedom to walk everywhere while calling it “skill.”

Clark didn’t just coach. He raised $48 million. He put together team from zero and led his conference in attendance. He took team ranked 130 and predicted to win 2 games to its best season ever in year 1. No disrespect to others but there has been nothing like this EVER.
@mikemovies
Some films are of their times, and capture their times perfectly. Saturday Night Fever screams 1977 in all its tacky imperfect fun with a side of hard times. Which sorta makes it timeless.
@GoodmanHoops
If he wants to still be playing, Steph will be the captain. He isn’t going to lose his shot, even at 40, and this team may need somebody who can bail them out with 3 quick 3s.
@CWilliamson44
Most of the stuff people react to probably isn’t even real. Obvious propaganda wars stuff to sew divisiveness on social and trigger culture war reactions.

Great advice. Specifics, deliverables, context. As hiring manager, I don’t care what you’ve done; I care about how what you’ve done projects into what I need. Help me “see you” in the role.
I spent 20+ years leading media teams, then almost a decade working in NIL before people were calling it NIL. I couldn't be more excited to bring those worlds together, starting with

Yeah man, of all pro sports, I think tv probably does the least justice to hockey. When you see elite hockey up close … it’s eye opening just how athletic those guys are and how demanding the game is.

and even though I never suited up for him on the court, the late Gene Bartow was MY coach. He recruited me to UAB on scholarship, helped me launch a career in sports & provided countless examples of leadership, class & vision that I still call upon today.

It is a big distinction (unofficial vs official). You can plan for official visits, which are also increasing with limits removed. Staffing pics for unofficial visits is a massive strain on the staff tasked with shooting them

They can get those ratings from a studio. The site doesn’t make that much of a difference. Alabama-Texas doesn’t need GameDay to deliver a big rating tonight. If it was just that, GameDay would never go anywhere but about 10 locations.
One of the most underappreciated programs in CBB since inception in 1978 compared to similarly resourced peers. Many programs *perceived* better are flat-out not close. Just missing the big breakthrough on the resume. Maybe this season?
Andy Kennedy has won a lot at UAB.
• A record of 101-37, (60-11 at Bartow)
• 2 Conference titles (C-USA, AAC)
• 2 March Madness appearances
• Multiple players on UAB record lists
If you like college basketball, get to a game.
BREAKING: UAB lands Georgia Southern star transfer Tyren Moore!
Averaged 17 points and 3 assists this past season, as well as shooting 41% 3PT. A sniper who gets it done on both ends of the floor.
Another very experienced college player to make this team EVEN MORE dangerous. 🐉
