hot take 🔥 Coding Bootcamps (not all) are failing their students in terms of helping them find jobs. What attracted me to a bootcamp before were the connections they had with REAL companies. Email intros were a given. Based on my convo with peeps, that is no longer prioritized.

Coding Q: Get your javascript fundamentals down - map, reduce, filter, splice, slice, shift, unshift, push, etc Build a lot of mini projects - calculator, forms, carousel, data-fetching, etc (frontendeval) Leetcode (easy and medium) - you can do hard as well but I prioritized

People over-glamorize making 6 figures or working at FAANG (MANGA) for their first developer role. I made $12/hr in NYC for my first internship. 💀 Eventually found a full time job at $75,000 a year. Definitely not enough (cost of living: NYC) but it got me started.
