Check it out, let us know what you think and share it with anyone you think would enjoy a fun write-up on the upcoming 2024
@OHLHockey
Draft!
Introducing: Colby Saganiuk. Has put on a fantastic show at the U.S. Select 15 Camp so far. Check out this sequence which ends in one of his three goals today. Skating is reminiscent of Sidney Crosby, and wait for the shot.
Best wishes to the 2003 age group on their future hockey & life endeavours. Remember this, being drafted doesn't mean you've won the game, & not being drafted doesn't mean you've lost the game. There is still a script for you to write, and all it has on it so far is your name
Best wishes and safe travels to all those heading to the 2019 OHL Cup. We should also keep the Pejcinovski family and friends in our thoughts during this time. Roy will be flying high and watching over all.
Reminder to all players to "Play For The Right Reasons." Do not concern yourself with impressing anyone else besides your teammates, your coaches and yourself. Play for the right reasons and the rest will take care of itself.
We begin this 2019 OHL Priority Selection with the Humboldt Broncos and the Pejcinovski family heavily in our thoughts and prayers

Would like to take the time to wish the best of luck to the 2002 age group tomorrow. One of the deepest draft classes in recent years, which means some good players won’t get selected. You’ll hear it a lot and it’s the truth, there is nothing at all to be discouraged about.
Your 2018 Minor Midget AAA Players of the Year:
Alliance: Matt Maggio, Sun County Panthers
ETA: Quinton Byfield, York-Simcoe
GTHL: Jamie Drysdale, Toronto Marlboros
HEO: Josh Barnes, Cornwall Colts
NOHA: Pacey Schlueting, North Bay Trappers
SCTA: Cameron Tolnai, Oakville Rangers
The fragility of life is overwhelming in its reminders. Hard to even find the words. Thoughts & prayers to everyone involved with the Humboldt Broncos and beyond
Just 7 months after 19hrs of surgery, half way thru chemo therapy Owen Brady on the ice for the first time. This young man has smashed thru all expectations. An emotional and miraculous day. Thx to Paul Ranger for setting up today.

Great goal by Francesco Pinelli of the Toronto Red Wings in last night’s game against the Don Mills Flyers. You’ll see him featured later today in our next OHL Prospect Interview
Matt Onuska, our
#3
@KingstonFronts
prospect is named Playoff MVP in the Waterloo Siskins GOJHL Sutherland Cup win. 16-year-old, first-year junior seasons don't get much more impressive than the one he produced
Wishing all the players & their families the best of luck tomorrow through the
@OHLHockey
Draft. If you aren’t selected tomorrow, keep grinding! Your journey isn’t over just because it wasn’t your time. Stay mentally strong & hockey fit, good things will follow

Brett Bressette scores the first goal of the OHL Cup on a slick deke and shot up under the bar to give North Central a 1-0 lead. Nice to see the talented scorer back in the lineup
Toronto Red Wings got to their highest level of play in the playoffs and into the OHL Cup and it almost resulted in the championship. They obviously have much to be proud of
Taught us all a lesson of what it means to fight. Deserved more than he was ever going to get on this earth, yet fought through unimaginable pain to be here. Was so strong all for the people who loved him. Go fly with the angels.
And another reminder to players who were drafted in early rounds of the OHL Draft but don't play their 16-year-old season in the league. If you find yourself disappointed starting the year in Jr. B or wherever, remember players like Mitch Hoelscher
Good luck to Waterloo Minor Midget Alum, Mitch Hoelscher this week and weekend as he has been invited to and is attending the 2018 NHL Scouting Combine which takes place in Buffalo, NY!

Oh my, Zachary Dean doing what he does often with an unbelievable shot up under the bar to tie it up for the Nats. There can't be many better players QMJHL eligible players than him
Just an awesome week of hockey at Scotiabank Pond. Hats off to the OHL and GTHL for an outstanding job hosting. The last and biggest tournament of the year and it left no doubt that it was the best tournament of the year
Congrats to the U16 AAA Barrie Colts for winning the Wendy Dufton Memorial Tournament this weekend in London, On.
An incredible performance by Barrie’s Alex McLean who led the tournament in scoring with 12 goals and 9 assists in 8 games, including a hat-trick in the finals!
Our top ranked goalie Ben Gaudreau made 30 saves & picked up a shutout at the OHF Central Region Midget AAA Championship yesterday. You dont always see goalies going in the 1st round, but if you are a team in need of one, it might be risky to wait too long
13. Kitchener Rangers – Ben Gaudreau, G, North Bay Trappers
The Rangers get their goalie of the future and that future is pretty well now. Our top ranked goalie was also a unanimous selection as the Best Pro Goalie Prospect in our Scouts Poll.
The 67's had the best draft of any team in our opinion and they have inked a big portion of it with the signings of Jack Matier, Brenden Sirizzotti and Jack Beck
Good luck to
@GoTeamOntario
in tonight's Gold Medal game at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer. According to the schedule, the game will be broadcast on TSN at 9:30PM ET. Just not sure if that will be live or not

Does anyone have an answer as to why there was not one Alliance player picked for Team Ontario? Really would have liked to see Deni Goure on the team. Brett Harrison and Maddox Callens worthy of a spot as well.
Tonight. 2019 OHL Cup Championship Final. Don Mills Flyers vs. Toronto Red Wings. 7:00PM, Mattamy Athletic Centre, Toronto, ON. Broadcast live on Sportsnet Ontario
Here is an example of Shane Wright’s smarts and pin-point execution. Look how we reads the developing play to take off, positions himself perfectly to take pass in stride, quick hands before releasing shot, head up & puck off his stick quickly with perfect placement
A lot of players getting their first taste of an OHL training camp this week. Enjoy the experience and take confidence from it to wherever it is you end up playing this season
Jack Matier is a mobile and rangy blueliner with a smooth next-level quality to his game. Constantly has his head up and sees the ice very well as a puck-mover and as a shooter. Expect him to be a Top 30 pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection
Shane Wright wins it for Don Mills on a 2-on-1 with a pass from Francesco Arcuri. Congratulations to both teams on outstanding tournament. Hats off to Samuel Moncada and Declan Ride who were outstanding in the game for the Nats
Standout players from the Whitby Silverstick:
Another stellar performance from Adam Valentini of the Marlies. Leading yet another tournament in scoring with 20 points in 7 games, his combination of speed, skill and hockey IQ make him a guaranteed top 3 pick.

Michael Misa with 3 goals & 2 assists in tonight’s game. The first EVER hat-trick in an

Final. Additionally, he surpasses Connor McDavid’s record for most points in an OHL Cup Tournament
#2022OHLDraft
Congratulations to the North Bay Trappers on winning the Waterloo Gold Puck Tournament. They have been a solid team all year long and were able to breakthrough here, running the table (6-0) to the title
Tyson Tomasini is a player. Plays on a weaker HEO team so doesn't get the notoriety he should. He's forcing his way into Top 100 candidacy for us. That's why scouting season never ends no matter how much you think you've seen. Always someone else waiting to be identified
Ben Gaudreau is at the top of his class in terms of his combination of size, positioning, technical skill, and poise in the crease and could be the first goalie selected in the upcoming OHL Priority Selection
1. Shane Wright, C, Don Mills Flyers - Has taken his game to even greater heights which is hard to believe. An astonishing talent who will be granted exceptional status to the OHL & you’d be foolish to bet against him taking home OHL Rookie of the Year honours as a 15-year-old.
Congratulations to Shane Wright on being selected first overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection.
@KingstonFronts
fans can get to know Shane a little bit better with this more personable interview we did way back in September with him
As for the winning goal, it was fitting. Whether it’s Wright to Othmann or Othmann to Wright, the two have been by far the best duo in Minor Midget this season. Both are special players who make each other better
3. Mason McTavish, C, Pembroke Lumber Kings - Equal parts great goal-scorer and passer. Shooting and passing attributes are pro-calibre. Wants the puck and is driven to be a difference-maker.
Our first interview of the year is with Don Mills sniper Brennan Othmann. Brennan is coming off an incredible performance at the Wendy Dufton Tournament where he led the tournament in scoring with a whopping 16 G & 25 PTS in just 8 GP
These are your semifinalists in the four Ontario Minor Midget AAA leagues currently in the playoffs. SCTA not set yet but it looks like it will be those four teams.
Congratulations to the Ottawa Capitals on winning the Steve Richey Tournament of Champions. Mason McTavish led the way with 2G and 2A in a 4-2 win over the Central Ontario Wolves. Congrats to the Wolves as well on a great tournament.
Player Profile: Carter Schoonderwoerd, Huron-Perth Lakers. Massive forward who threatens off the rush. Can overwhelm when he gets speed going. Has a dangerous and elite shot, and good vision down-low. …
Proud to announce that our own Branden Scott
@b_scott39
has landed a job with the Sudbury Wolves as their Media Producer. Would like to thank Branden for all the great work he did, and it is certainly no surprise that he has advanced so quickly

Tomorrow we will be releasing our Mid-Season 2019 OHL Draft Ranking. It will include a Top 100 Skater ranking with 200+ honourable mentions, as well as a Top 10 Goalie ranking with another 60 honourable mentions
Not a bad start for Don Mills Flyers teammates Brennan Othmann and Brandt Clarke at the Canada Games. Othmann scores the first 3 goals and assists on the 4th. Clarke assists on the first 3 goals and scores the 4th.
OHL Prospect Interview with Shane Wright of the Don Mills Flyers. An underage center, Shane is the top player in Minor Midget AAA this season, and at this point is a good bet to be granted exceptional status into the OHL next season
He's not OHL eligible, but wow, Cole Huckins has probably been the most impressive player of the day, and that's saying something. He'll be leaving all the OHL scouts disappointed
Huge for the Spirit to land Cole. He was our 2nd ranked player in the 2002 age group and is one of the smartest players as well as one of the best playmaking forwards in recent years. Will be fun to watch him pick apart OHL defensemen and goalies
Player Profile: Brandt Clarke. Our top ranked defenseman & 3rd overall player in our Initial Rankings. Far and away the best offensive d-man in this year's draft but also a complete player. GTHL scout Ryan Ferizovic
@RFerry27
with a great full breakdown
Without further ado we are proud to present our Mid-Season 2019 OHL Draft Rankings available now to subscribers. It includes a Top 100 Skater Ranking & well over 200 honourable mentions. Also included is a Top 10 Goalie Ranking & 50+ honourable mentions

The Toronto Marlboros just are not a normal Minor Midget AAA team. They have the perfect mix and complement of players. And aside from the overwhelming talent, the way they go about their business with such discipline, focus and attention to detail is incredible to watch
