Important: the developers and regular employees at Blizzard had absolutely nothing to do with what happened. I hope people remember that during Blizzcon, as outside of the opening & closing ceremonies its the developers who are on panels/Q&As, not the execs responsible for this.

Another interesting "leak" update. While fake expansion logos are a dime a dozen during leak season, I have to give this one credit for being weird. Its like how when the Shadowlands logo actually leaked and people dismissed it for being too strange and not "Shadowlands themed."

Also, even ignoring the debate on whether Shadowlans was traumatic Anduin to be in this state, the Shadowlands prequel novel Shadows Rising was all about how Anduin was cracking from the pressure and the horrors of the Fourth War were taking its toll on his psyche.

More Dragonflight info from various interviews: -Dracthyr can use their own wings for dragon riding -Covenants/renown are back. One for each zone, but you do all of them at once instead of picking one. No player power, and it replaces traditional reputation factions.

So all the things we know about QT revamp in Midnight: -Quel'Thalas will be remade to be much larger than the TBC version. -The TBC version will still exist via Chromie Time, unlike Cata's revamp. -There will be a "seamless transition from EPL to Ghostlands, etc."

A funny thought: the Primal Incarnates had even less build up and came even more out of nowhere than the Jailer (who at least had all the foreshadowing in BfA and, to a smaller degree, Legion), and yet they're still so much more interesting villains.

Interesting note on Dragonflight's potential amount of content. During the live stream, they said the Azure Span is "possibly the largest single zone we've ever done" and then in an interview said the Dragon Isles themselves are "possible the largest continent we've ever done."

Fun fact: The Alliance TBC race was originally going to be pandaren. But they realized pandaren didnโ€™t fit the theme of the expansion and went back to the drawing board. They eventually settled on eredar, and had Chris Metzen come up with the draenei retcon to (1)

This is big news to all those discussing dracthyr. TLDR: -Some (not all) armor displays on their dragon form, like mechagnomes -You can choose between a slender and bulkier body type -Heads can be more draconic looking, lots of customization options they weren't ready to show.

So Dragonflights' alpha is already on WoWdev. It took four months for Shadowlands alpha to get to wowdev, and another two months to actually start the alpha, so we seem to be going at an accelerated timetable.

Since there's been some confusion on the expansion leak. The expansion's name: 100% genuine, it was found on Blizzard's own website and they purchased a separate domain name for it as well. The only way it's fake is if they're trolling. The Artwork: Unconfirmed.

I don't know why it bugs me so much, but the original expansion is called "The Burning Crusade" but the classic version is called "World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade." Why did they get rid of the "The?"

Since a lot of people are saying it, it's definitely *not* Sargeras' sword haha. It is a literal source of Light, with a lot of intricate crystal details. They said that it's been there at least since the Arathi settled in the cavern, too, which was a few thousand years ago.

I will say, if we're getting faster expansions with less content, this box price increase just isn't gonna fly. Dragonflight being shorter is fine, but charging *more* for less overall content feels super cheap for a game that has a consistent subscription and cash shop flow.

Everything wrong with Sylvanas, the Forsaken, and the Horde at large in BfA was already a problem in Cata. That few people noticed this, and that Cataโ€™s Syvlvanas/Forsaken/Horde was positively received at the time likely helped encourage the attitudes in the devs that led to BfA.

The issue this has been a story about the night elf genocide (Blizzard's words) that resolves with them being fully driven from their home to the other side of the world. That's a really dark story using serious real world themes being presented as a happy, hopeful ending.

The more we learn about Hero Talents the less excited I get about what this means for each specs future. We could have just had class skins that are a completely optional aesthetic change, but instead, you're forced into 2 options that might not fit the aesthetic you prefer.
