there's something so peaceful about Gojo being there gazing at the skyline watching the whole world pass by, thinking about their future, thinking, "everything's gonna be alright"
Gojo Satoru's identity crisis ;; a thread 🧵
"The question I never answered."
a topic that I believe it worth to look into, to see and understand about an unfinished role: 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘎𝘰𝘫𝘰 𝘚𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘶?
May I ask you to forgive him? He loved everyone, he did everything he could but it was never enough and we were always the ones who wanted the most from him; And when he was about to relieved from this hell, we wanted him to return; But I think... it's time to let him go
it's nothing special. im just very fond of astronomy so the cocoincident for being this one was beautiful for me. also, there's another one, but it was kinda sad, so i'll wait for that until the manga ends-
I don't care anymore. I just wanna see in the next chapter these two start to fight side by side to rescue Megumi! I'm so sick of seeing them apart! We had enough.
It all began here when we witness Gojo's absolute shock and fear after Kenjaku reveals the prison realm! While the appearance of prison realm and Kenjaku after that as Geto is certainly horrible, it is still so rare for Gojo to display such intense emotions.
"he's not wrong, but Gojo also cared these two can coexist" hell no! whether it's just Gojo's delusion or Nanami actually saying it is a "YOU DIDN'T DO IT TO PROTECT" means you didn't care! which's cruel af. shows no one even his closest friends understood him.
When you don't know who you are, what's defining you and how to fit in.
Gojo has faced this challenge since his childhood, bearing the immense power of gods and the weight of the world on his shoulders. For him, "strength" has been his defining characteristic.
@JotheoriesJJK
Correct me if I'm wrong but Geto said that too right? While he was fighting Toji in HI arc he didn't want to hear Toji's talkin about how his "Physical blessing" works.
Akutami Gege's storyline has been providing us with numerous subtle references from the arts, Japanese history, and Buddhism. In other words, his art is always intentional and carries significant meaning.
it's not about "they never cared about Gojo" or "we knew Gojo was nothing but a weapon" anymore, they're literally acting like he never existed this is weird as hell
Who is Gojo Satoru? Is it all his power? If it is, then why did he fail to save his friend? To save Megumi? Why did he lose to Toji?
If it's not, then why he can't answer this question?
Gojo was out of the story like a year ago and they still act like he's there to hype the whole fuckin series, Gege couldn't let him go, jjk official page couldn't let him go, the characters in story couldn't let him go and some ppl STILL insist on Gojo fans are out of their mind!
Perhaps that is the reason he poses this, that "I am strong, right?" However, he now understands that strength alone is not enough, What is it then? Is it only about being ready to be saved? to search for a more powerful ally?
the fact that Gojo Satoru despite being a supporting character has more depth and development than the mc and has the most impact in the story is telling enough i gusse. personally, i believe it's not like Gege hates Gojo. rather, i think he may have struggled with the challenge—
+ That is why I believe his role is not finished yet. His character, his personality, and his life need a better answer than just understanding Sukuna after death!
He needs to complete that for himself.
To find out who he truly is!
As the battle between Gojo and Sukuna commences, we see Sukuna attempting to undermine Gojo's identity by uttering derogatory remarks such as "you are nothing" "just an ordinary person,
this could've been 2 pages at best, could make everything okay, it was all we wanted only a litlle reaction or someone mentioning him just once, not 10 pages funeral! but no, we can't even ask for that...
But unfortunately, Satoru can't get help about this matter from anyone! as the story stated before, "the loneliness that comes from absolute strength..." So who can help Gojo when there's no one to understand? To be the god but unable to do anything?
While these insults may seem inconsequential, it is worth considering that Gojo's identity disorder may have been subtly hinted at during the fight, albeit in a veiled manner.
All from Sukuna, who unfortunately is the only one in the world who can understand Gojo!
Now, out of curiosity, I started to search about "identity crisis" in Buddhism, and here's what I find!!
"someone like me but they were happy as if they knew who they are" "I couldn't fit in"
"Waking up to who you are requires letting go of who you imagine yourself to be"
if you really think fighting against someone stronger and being dead to see his friends as delusion is all about his character and means he's happy, i'm sorry but yes you need to stfu
i assume it was always like this? since that panel is from before shibuya, and Gojo always has that blindfold on his eyes therfore we never noticed how tired he was... he was always doing his best huh
my body shaking so bad i can't stop my tears and i don't know if i can recover ever from this, it physically hurt. my chest feels pain because of the way they treated Satoru. he doesn't deserve this.
And after reading all of that, it was quite interesting to see how this matter was posed to Gojo in ch236!!
"If you want to become someone new, or if you like to return to who you were" (I'm not gonna add anything about north yall know it already"
@ruesatoru90
this one? i believe it's just a coincidence, but the other one i found? i don't think so! and im gonna wait for that-- i need to see jjk end first.
So, if love is who we are and for that, we shouldn't feel lonely, we should let go of who we were to find who we really are, Can Satoru answer this question now?
Doesn't Gojo want to know more? And if he does, being dead in absolute loneliness is a good conclusion for him? Without knowing he who really could be?
It's just my opinion, but I believe that the author left this part in chapter 236 with an unanswered question.
While Gojo found someone who understands him strength wise, I wonder if that's enough? Note that Sukuna and Gojo have a different understanding of love!
"ok, let's move on, Gojo is gone for good there's no need for him being alive anymore he's happy in death." you see that little lonely fish there? THAT'S ME
"𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺..." i can't bring myself to look at the panels properly anymore, Gojo always knew what he was saying he was doing his best all the time! it hurts way too much—
imagine saying to a teenager "your teacher was wrong for preventing your execution, everything that happened is his fault," oh kusakabe the nerve you have wish Sukuna had finished you off in shibuya
no seriously i lost count how many times i said this but HOW the fuck Yuta survived and Gojo's situation is still a "gone person"? even Higuruma is alive now!!! Practically everyone survived but not the one with the most potential it doesn't make any sense
@king_jin_woo
idk how many times on how many ways and language gege gonna say "i hate this blindfold man" god how i want this one eye cat within my reach 🔪
is Gojo responsible for every random person he sees in his life? like he should go and look for whoever needs help and take them under his custody? oh my fuckin god just shut up this much of being stupid is beyond me fr!
here's the thing: no one's asking for an actual funeral who are we fooling here? yes we know Nanami didn't get one, nor Yaga or any other and Tsumiki is a normal person BUT they all had their fuckin little acknowledgement! for Yaga? it was panda, and then it was Gojo talking—
@HakarisupremaC
ngl im tired of these skuna fans like dude we get it your King is the best and he didn't just screamed for maharoga to save his ass so for the love of god please STOP mischaracterizing Gojo🤦🏻♀️
@tadashisfreckl1
he needed someone to see him as "Satoru" and in the end even Geto failed to do that! i'd say there was a chance for Megumi, Yuta and Yuji to prove him wrong, to tell you dont need to feel lonely, but there's no time anymore.
@kaze_rry
The panic I had when I saw my notification that morning- one was my friend saying "Mel pls don't check the leaks" and the other was Mya "chapter starts with flashback"...
Makes me cry.
tell me this is the end, that they retrieved his body and it's over, that if there's still any fuckin plan for him, it's to bring Gojo himself back not using him as a tool. please just let him rest i feel so sick by even looking at it that's enough already—
@BIGDADDYGOJO
make sense given Megumi's whole personality, remember he was the one who always said "I'm not a hero so I save ppl unequaly" and he tried to do what he thought was right more than all of them and ended up losing everything in worst way! What if he lose hope for what he believed?
