After the rough weeks it has been being a star wars fan on here, I've decided I'm going to wind down my posts relating to the franchise and post other things that I'm interested in. I'll talk about SW just less than before.
These are my other interests, follow if you want:
What I find funny is how people were complaining that the lightsabers in Acolyte look too thick, which is the reverse complaint to what people said about Rebels lightsaber for being too thin
Currently we have 4 character stories that were told in the "tales of the jedi/empire" animated series.
Out of the 4, which would you say is your favourite?
how about:
- make it animated
- bring back the voice cast
- bring back EVERYONE who worked on rebels in the writing department
- continue the original artstyle with updated animation
and then we call it a day
I know I'm going to trigger many clone wars fans by saying this but I must speak my truth. Rebels is a better show than clone wars overall (but I still enjoy clone wars fair enough)
Originally while watching I thought Rampart would follow Kallus' story from Rebels and be good in the end. But I liked how even when helping the Batch he still remains selfish in finding an oppertunity to use the secrets he learns to blackmail the empire to accept him back.
My favourite is Count Dooku for completely making me facinated with his character in showing his downfall all the way to losing his apprentice and fully accepting the darkside.
It also did the one thing 7 seasons of TCW and the PT couldn't do, make me want to see more of him
With The Bad Batch coming to an end tomorrow, meaning another long running Star Wars animated series come and gone let's take a moment to reflect on the shows 3 season run and discuss our favourite moments that you liked.
I'll start: Seasons 2 Episode 9
Hemlock dying was very satisfying for me, not only he's a pretty bad guy who did bad things so him dying to clones was nice, but I really don't like him.
I hate him as a character enough to feel joy at him dying. Also nice teamwork by Crosshair & Hunter
What are your thoughts on how the Interdimensional Beings, were introduced into the Indiana Jones franchise?
Do you think they should never have had existed, or are you happy with their inclusion but feel the execution needed more work?
I just learned that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull turned 16 years old today, which is pretty cool to hear. Later today (IF I HAVE TIME) I'll try watching it.
But because I'm curious, as long as you aren't spoiling anything what are your thoughts on the movie?
@Darth_Nur
Star Wars theory is notorious for saying Andor is a perfectly made show but decided to critique the show by saying it's weird for the buildings in andor to contain bricks and screws, even though that's always been a thing in star wars
@NostalgicGenius
it does though, it follows the literal theme of the original trilogy, has star wars elements like ships and characters, and it's title having the star wars name. How is it not, and what does obi wan have to do with it?
Imagine in 1983 you go to the threatres to watch Return of the Jedi and you get to this scene when Palpatine out of nowhere shoots lightning out of his finger tips.
What would your reactions be?
I swear if I hear another person say "Yoda was character assasinated in the prequels" which is a movie trilogy meant to be A PREQUEL TO THE OT, I'm going to lose it.
Yoda was not character assasinated, the PT showed how yoda and the order fell which made him how he was in the OT
Because that's a terrible way for growing a fanbase so they can get invested waiting week to week to come up with theories and discussing each episodes. Releasing all at once reduces chances of fan engagement.
Plus when it all gets released, then what? The seasons over
Ok I just gotta ask, was it Morgan's idea to make the tie defender project?
Cause last I checked I remembered that being Thrawn's idea in rebels, is it another retcon?
@charley_bennett
the only take I've heard from him about acolyte is questioning why does a person die when getting stabbed in the heart by a knife. Idk if I'm going to trust his judgement on that, unless he said more intellegent thoughts on acolyte
Kanan & Ezra is a top tier greatly written master and apprentice relationship in all of star wars. Their bond being a more father and son relationship, helping each other grow to become their best selves while living an era of the empires rise of power with the jedi order gone
Hondo in rebels is the GOAT, one of the funniest characters in that show that cracks me up everytime he speaks. His friendship with ezra is great, and Jim Cummings is a great actor.
Also love him in clone wars too, he's great anywhere but remember him more in rebels
Couple days ago I asked what were your thoughts on Interdimensional Beings being canon to the Indiana Jones Franchise.
Now that Dial of Destiny has confirmed time travel being real via the antikythera device, what are your thoughts on time travel being possible and how it works?
@LokiJarson
I kind of disagree with that, cause his lesson in ANH was to learn to let the force guide him as it flows through him which he used that skill when blowing up the death star. It's similar here where luke closed his eyes and let the force flow through him to grab his saber from
Hey Guys, I have been pondering for a bit and have been thinking of starting the Indiana Jones movie series. I haven't seen any of the movies before, but if I'm free tomorrow then I may consider viewing "Raiders Of The Lost Ark".
Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts?
In Star Wars animation we currently have 4 main characters who are our child protagonists.
Out of the 4, whose your favourite child protagonist (in ONLY their specific show, meaning if you chose ahsoka or ezra you are saying their TCW and Rebels versions respectively):
@Klamp20XX
that's fair, for me I always thought of dooku just using the force to help levitate him down to the ground. I don't think it'd be out there for star wars to do
When discussing the character design of the grand inquisitor between 2 different artstyles both shows, would you say I cooked? Personally I feel pretty strong about this take after watching TofE
@corellianlegend
a beautiful relationship that was very natural and didn't need forced dialogue telling us that they loved each other but instead showed us through their actions, care and understanding of one another. This is the kind of relationship I love watching in anything besides just SW
Post your favourite animated Star Wars lightsaber duel with a brief explanation as to why
I'll start: The duel highlights obi wan's growth shown via his poses from his CW to his Ben kenobi era to his masters, while maul refuses to grow by trying to beat him the same way as he-
Yoda's talk with Luke about the force is the perfect description of what the force is (atleast from what I've seen)
Also it's in my top 10 favourite scenes in all of Star Wars
Ok, I'm going to shoot my shot and watch Arcane season 1 episode 3 while still being in the Arcane hype and still remembering the previous 2 episodes.

Arcane 1x03
@NostalgicGenius
but what does that mean, how does it feel like star wars? Star Wars architecture is consistent in both Andor and the rest of star wars, last I check buildings are still made with bricks and screws in both
@JoelWBerry
Why is everyone obsessed with that rather than the completely out of place space suit.
Star Wars doesn't do Space Suits, either they have a suit of armor that is space friendly or they send a droid. Why are we getting generic "space stuff" in STAR WARS
don't quite understand this, but do people still ship sabine x ezra? I really don't see that and their relationship in rebels was never meant to be romantic but platonic in a family sort of way as siblings.
Fine as fan fic but it was never equally reciprocated in rebels
The Inquisitors were introduced into the SW canon via Rebels with the introduction of the Grand Inquisitor who was a skilled jedi assassin tasked by Vader to hunt and kill any surviving jedi's. Then in season 2 it's revealed that there's many more just like him, which gets
No? The point of the scene was to establish the grant inquisitors relation to Vader as a jedi hunter who is given the task to hunt down surviving jedi which is important for the audience to know how much of a big deal he is.
I'd say removing it wouldn't have been a good idea
Here's a shocking fact: the location where Indy is holding the rocket to the nazi's and the ark is the same place where we got our first introduction to obi wan kenobi in star wars
The Grand Inquisitor was such an entertaining and great villain in rebels. He posed a threat for kanan & ezra while used to push kanan's growth for him to get back to his jedi strengths and skills to protect ezra.
Jason Isaacs did a great job giving him a devious voice
