Well, it's official, the @AqaraSmarthouse zigbee contact sensor outlasted my testing setup. I had to replace the drawer slides today because the ball bearings grinding badly and causing the stepper motor to miss steps. Currently 620,000 cycles, the @ring quit at 377,000.

@SnazzyLabs In my opinion @eightsleep and @tonal are two of the most revolutionary products of the last 5 years. However, BOTH of them are absolutely ruining their tech with cloud dependence and reliance on monthly subscriptions. They are true "bleed the customer dry" companies.

My least favorite YouTube comment to answer is “does this work with @home_assistant ”. EVERYTHING can work with home assistant, it just depends on how much effort you are willing to put in. Not all @home_assistant integrations are equal.

Well, I can tell you that the limit of ONVIF cameras supported by the @ring app is more than 10. This is 8 PoE, 2 wifi and a Ring Stick up cam.

@Twitchyliquid64 Camera feed is processed to scan all the tags and update the tag coordinates database when they change. Alexa looks up the location on request and sends the coordinates to a notifier via @NodeRED and @MosquittoMQTT which control the LED strips.
