Twenty magical minutes of Clem Darracott's movie of Ben Hogan at the 1967 Masters Tournament - instructional, informative and wonderfully entertaining.
Patrick Reed convinces the referee that he can identify an ‘arrow’ on his golf ball even though it finished stuck up a different palm tree -
Never ceases to amaze me what this golfer gets away with.
Who cares which LIV golfer picks up $4m today because I for one couldn’t care less.
What I do care about, however, are moments like this when the wife of 44 year old pro, Graeme Storm, reacts to his winning £20,000 for a hole in one on the 17th at Fairmont St Andrews yesterday -
I think Rory is a victim of his own success and our expectations of him are unrealistic.
He's won 24 times on the PGA Tour, 16 times on the European Tour and 4 majors.
It matters not to me if he doesn't win another major, he's great to watch and a credit to the game of golf.
Brooks Koepka has been World Number 1 for a total of 47 weeks.
Tiger Woods spent 683 weeks as World Number 1 and won 10 Majors before his 30th birthday.
Koepka will be 32 next May.
There's a major distinction to made between self-confidence and self-delusion.
Yesterday, Tyrrell Hatton spat his disgust on the 12th tee and today on the 16th green we’re treated to further evidence of his total lack of respect for the history and tradition of Augusta National and the Masters Tournament.
One of the most surreal golf photos you'll see - a very young Rory McIlroy eagerly waiting for Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn, Tiger Woods and Ernie Els to tee off in an exhibition match -
What is it with lazy, inconsiderate golfers who cannot be bothered to repair their pitch marks.
A correctly repaired pitch mark will recover in 24 hours, if left unrepaired for two hours it will take two months to recover!
A spectator Thomas Weaver died after being struck by lightning during a weather delay in the first round of the 1991 PGA.
John Daly donated $30,000 from his $230,000 to Weaver's family for a college fund. Both daughters went on to graduate from college and one is now a doctor.
Played today with a 6 handicap golfer, nice chap and a good golfer. He must have repaired at least 3/4 unrepaired pitchmarks on every hole as well as his own.
A man after my own heart!
Why golfers don't repair their own pitchmarks as a matter of routine is a mystery to me.
Rory McIlroy sacked JP Fitzgerald in 2017 after their 9 year partnership had produced four majors.
Rory subsequently hired his best friend Harry Diamond and he hasn't won another major title for almost 9 years.
Anyone who truly believes that Donald Trump plays golf to a genuine 2.5 handicap is either completely deluded or knows nothing about the game of golf -
Further evidence can be found in

's book, 'Commander in Cheat - How Golf Explains Trump'.
Call me old-fashioned but petulance such as this while being paid a huge sum of money for the privilege of playing golf on the Old Course at St Andrews is utterly shameful -
Augusta member Jeff Knox is the official marker at the Masters. He is also the course record holder from the members’ tees with a 61.
He is a very accomplished golfer and has outscored Sergio and Rory in the past when marking their cards.
When Simon Dyson was fined £30,000 and given a 3 month suspended ban in 2013 for tapping down a spike mark he was ostracised by his fellow pros and it was the end of his career.
I do not understand this kind of response to Patrick Reed - it endorses and condones his cheating -
‘Hatgate’ - the unabridged version.
The caddie was completely out of order here in my view and was deliberately trying to put Rory off.
LaCava’s ‘excuse’ to Shane was, “I just wanted to celebrate” -
Utter bulls*it, Joe.
An amazing photograph of a 6 year old Eldrick Tont 'Tiger' Woods sipping on a soda while Sam Snead signs an autograph for him in 1982 at Soboba Springs -
Probably as a result of their lukewarm relationship Ben Hogan and Arnold Palmer helped to create one of the most iconic golf photos of all time on the second tee of the third round at the 1966 Masters Tournament -
Happiness is smoking a Cuban cigar, driving a red 1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello, receiving custom shoes from Gigi Nebuloni, enjoying a glass of Marques de Riscal Rioja while reflecting on 21 European Tour victories, 7 Asian tour wins and 10 PGA Tour Champions titles.
What a legend!
Jon Rahm -

June 2022
“Shotgun three days to me is not a golf tournament”
December 2022
“Money is not really on my mind”

A battalion of the Cameron Highlanders in 1914 prior to being despatched to the front line and the same battalion upon their return in 1918 after the armistice.
I agree with Brandel - Jordan would have been a bigger fish to catch by LIV than Jon Rahm.
Or even Justin for that matter.
In order of significance I think it would be:
Tiger
Rory
Jordan
Justin
Jon
And if LIV got all of ‘em I still wouldn’t watch it.

Payne Stewart plays out of a bunker on Sunday in the final singles match at Brookline against Monty.
In an act of great sportsmanship he conceded Monty’s putt for the win because of all the abuse he’d suffered during the day and said, “That’s enough for today don’t you think?”
According to Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, Ben Hogan was the finest ball striker that ever played the game.
He, along with Moe Norman, we’re the only golfers ever to have ‘owned their swing’.
