Been a WHILE since I posted anything so I guess I'll show this now. The rig's gone through some changes since the last WIP and honestly learned a lot from this one. Facial rigging was one of my struggles and after many tries, I got it right here.
Deku's Rig is close to being done and decided to test and see if it has any bugs so far. Turned out there were quite a few of them. Oh and also first time trying to animate on 3s. Really fun stuff!
Wanted to try and animate one of the scenes from Lost World and give my own little spin on it. Trying to make my animations less.... floaty and give more sense of weight. Also a little update on the rig (Especially the mouth) where now it has more features to work with. Enjoy!
Alright, this is what I was talking about in the last tweet about facial rigging. Figured out the mouth rig system I like and it's pretty flexible. All the trial and error was worth it in the end. Can't wait to find out how it'll turn out in the end and animate Izuku.

Did another test cos why not.. The last one got a lot of positive feedback (Thank you all for that) so i decided to make another one. Took abouut... I'd say no more than 5 hours. Maybe 4 and a half... Man i gotta set a timer when doing these.

Happy birthday to (imo) one of the greatest Sonic games made. So much love and passion went into this and I have a lot of respect for it and what it brought. Hopefully, we'll get more of this kinda stuff in the future.

Third attempt with rendering characters using a new render engine. Getting there..
Finally got to animating her. Tested the rig and everything works smoothly now. Was fun animating her too not gonna lie. Time to move on the the rest of the Zeti.
Started off as a random quick pose which turned into a render. Kinda feel like this would work better in Team Sonic Racing (I'm not saying i'm better than SEGA i just think this would work better). At least it's new. Couldn't decide with the spikes since some don't like it.
Imagine a Sonic Colors movie with good writing and fully CGI animated. The orchestral soundtrack already feels like a movie quality and the actual idea of the story. And don't even get me started on that intro. What do you guys think?
Sonic Win animation thing! Get the reference? Of course you do it's obvious. Anywho been testing another update on this rigged boy. Works like a charm so far! The animation process took about 2 and a half hours. Enjoy!

Wow.. Sonic renders i don't have a lot of problems with! Is this a dream? Actually they look pretty darn good!! I really like Shadow and Rouge there. Omega's the one with the lamest pose though but i'll let that pass. Thank you, could we get more renders like these in the future?

A combination of more perspective on the camera and breaking the model. I've never tried it like this before in my Sonic poses before this.
Yooo the final episode of Mani Adventures was awesome!! It's so fluidly animated too!! They did a good job even though being on a budget. I loved the expressions and interactions. O and Knuckles is the beeeest!!!

Tangle The Lemur's (From IDW Comics) rig is DONE! Well it's in Beta but still. Recreated the comic cover pose to test her rig. Fixed a few bugs and working smoothly.

Even though the game is pretty bad i gotta say.. This game has the best animation quality in Sonic series. Best expressions, poses, acting and over all movement. Also the best character rig setup so that it allows for this kind of animation quality.
Not gonna show too much since i don't wanna spoil it for everyone but, yoo i wish this kinda stuff were in the games. Found the character interactions pretty cool too. Imagine all of it being in games all animated and stuff. That'd be too good.

!! Now THIS is how the pose should have been done. They're still generic but had to stick to the original. Maybe i'll go over all the fixes we made.
Took the opportunity of the whole quarantine thing and learned some things about retopologizing and practiced some toon rendering some time ago. Won't have to be bound by the optimized game models anymore and can push rigging now.
Easily the best thing to come out of Sonic for me. I freakin love this short so much and i hope SEGA does this more (despite them already KINDA doing it with Mania shorts but NOT THE SAME)! There's just so much i appreciate here!!
Just gonna say that Empire City from Sonic Unleashed is my all time favorite Sonic stage. Guess it's just me really loving the New York city kinda theme. The stage is fast paced with different paths and shortcuts to take. A stage i keep coming back to most often.
