If we include domestic and foreign debt repayments; government paid off debt with Rs 84.6 out of every 100 rupees of tax revenue it collected. In FY-17, it was Rs 47.2 out of 100. Rising debt repayments is offsetting the impact impact of tax revenue growth. Debt Trap it is!

Even after MSCI downgrade and PKR devaluation to 170, I see rise in corporate profitability of KSE-100 Index, and a new all time high for equities. Strong hands will fill the inventory, weak hands will offload here. @StateBank_Pak must keep interest rate below 8% in medium term!

Economics 101: Market-Based Exchange Rate System adopted by SBP is NOT a Free-Float System. #SBP can, will, and did intervene in market to control speculative surges. With $4bn Deficit, SBP CAN'T dump dollars like Dar to keep rate at 160. FOOLS equate this intervention with Dar's.

Out of every 100 Rupees of tax paid to government in FY17, it used Rs 30.4 to pay off interest and principal to lenders. In June 2021, It has increased to 47.6 Rupees in debt repayment from every 100 rupees of tax we pay. That is how generations pay the price of mismanagement.
