Stop 👏🏻 Over-dramatising 👏🏻 Go-arounds. They’re a very standard procedure, they happen fairly often and for a multitude of reasons. Both pilots and controllers are used to dealing with these, they’re not crazy. At all.

This. An excellent description of a go-around. It’s not a failure of any kind. It’s not headline news. It’s a standard procedure prioritising the safety of the aircraft and everyone on board. They’re a boringly common event that always seem to happen at the worst time for ATC 😜

Crazy to think that a decade ago I hung up my bats & hi-viz. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without that experience; I got to do some cool things & park some amazing aircraft. I was there for the ash cloud, the snow & the A380 grounding. People still think I use the bats!

Today’s #FlashbackFriday falls on the 4 year anniversary of losing my grandad. He was the best grandad - silly, funny and so very loving. As a kid I once hid under my bed & he was the only one who could coax me out. This photo just sums him up perfectly.
