Participating in
@BritainLeads
Future Leaders programme was an incredible opportunity. I learnt a huge amount, developed my critical thinking and challenged my world view. It also inspired me to keep moving forward with politics because there is so much work to do. Thank you. 🙏
I am so incensed by the Labour Party in
#Exeter
who have run the city’s finances into the ground and run up millions of pounds of debt. 😡 It’s time for change on Exeter City Council and the
@Conservatives
are the only party in town who can and will put things right.👍
Labour in Exeter are playing fast and loose with the city finances and council owned property. We need more social housing, not more student accommodation. They need to be held accountable for their actions, which I will do as the city’s next MP.
The chair of
@UniofExeter
@Conservatives
association was attacked and shouted abuse at tonight in
#Exeter
for his political beliefs. I am appalled and disgusted and hope
@DC_Police
take the appropriate action.
Congratulations to
@steve_race
. I wish him all the very best as Exeter’s next MP. It goes without saying it was an extremely difficult night for the
@Conservatives
, but I am really proud of our team in
#Exeter
and what we were able to achieve. 👏

Congratulations to Tessa Tucker who has recently been selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Spokesperson for Exeter 👏🏼.

Introducing... the Penguin Book Vending Machine!
In 1935, Sir Allen Lane was inspired to create Penguin Books when he couldn't find a good book to read at Exeter St. David's train station.
We've gone back to our roots to ensure modern day commuters won't face the same problem.
Common sense has finally prevailed. This was the wrong scheme in the wrong place. And it has been from day one. Why did it take Labour so long to listen to the concerns of local people?
The Labour Party in
#Exeter
has been responsible for wasting millions of pounds of taxpayer money, and are now facing serious allegations of bullying from within their own party.
This has got to stop.
If I become Exeter’s next MP I will hold them accountable.
Fascinating morning hearing about net zero and the important work going on in this space across
#Exeter
. Like many of the challenges we face, it is once again clear that data and harnessing AI is central to how we solve the issue.

Our recent Future Leaders Visit to Jordan featured on

today where
@RoryStewartUK
spoke about meeting our delegation for lunch in Jordan 🇵🇸
🎙️
Great to see
@MelJStride
in Devon tonight and hear him talk on a range of issues from getting people back into work to tackling immigration. The state of our roads also came up, where the govt has committed over £9.3m in funding for fixing potholes in Devon alone. 👍
When will Labour end the pretence that their VAT on school fees policy is about raising money to spend on state schools? It isn’t and it won’t. It is simply designed to stick two fingers up to families who send their children to fee paying schools.
Affordable housing in Exeter has received a boost following the awarding of £293,391 funding for a scheme in the city.
The money – from the Brownfield Land Release Fund – will allow up to15 affordable homes to be built in Lower Wear Road.

Beyond the baseless excuses on the £28bn, the constant vacillating and inability to develop robust policy speaks to a wider inability within the Labour Party to lead and govern.
Labour will say they have to abandon their £28bn because the fiscal situation has got worse.
But since June, when they recommitted to it, fiscal headroom has risen & borrowing costs have fallen.
The only thing that's got worse is their lack of any distinctive economic policy.
Perhaps if the Labour run council in Exeter hadn’t lost £10 million through the failure of Exeter City Living they wouldn’t need to hike up prices of allotments. Just a thought.

What a load of absolute nonsense. Sorry, that probably wasn’t subversive enough. What a load of absolute b*llocks. (I don’t want to frighten the men in the Conservative party so thought better of writing the expletive in full.)

The language used by Farage is intentional and deliberate when he refers to “our culture”. It is utterly appalling and should have no place in our political discourse.

recycling capability. Given the current geopolitical risks it is now vital we keep driving momentum and innovation forward across the whole automotive supply chain here in the UK.
We’ve waited months for Labour to set out its vision for the country. The first ideas that have come forward today would cause job losses in Scotland, alienate rural communities and create more bureaucracy in our housing system. Great job guys. 👏

you might want to check your facts, and come to think of it your grammar, before reposting babe.🙄
This Conservative government has overseen a pothole pandemic on our roads.
The government has left cash-strapped councils are being left without the funding to maintain roads properly while having to shell out thousands of pounds in pothole payouts.

I have a nine year old daughter. I almost can’t bring myself to watch this. But we must. We cannot not turn our gaze away, because people need to see that this is the reality for girls living under the Taliban regime.
Just watched a really weird video on BBC4 for Do You Know The Way To San Jose of a donkey driving a car in an otherwise awesome tribute to Burt Bacharach. Eternally grateful to my Mum for introducing me to these incredible songs when I was little. They mean so much to me. ❤️
