Working on a work around to automated tweets. This is what the alternative format will look like unless the API access gets restored. The image is no longer a media image but rather a preview from the link. Still going to setup the discord this afternoon as a backup.
Quick update on the bot, seemingly Tesla has once again blocked traffic from us. This has always puzzled us as to why they would do this when we just act as a notification mechanism for new shop items. We scrape respectfully only every 30 minutes. Will address & get working soon.
Two updates:
1. We have implemented a solution that is automated & still lets us post tweets. Very cool technically what is going on behind the scenes to do this, although could break in the future.
Spotted something from the overseas Tesla Shop that I really wish we would have gotten over here in the US. I guess this was related to a celebration of 10 years of super charging in Europe
Anyone else just love the design?
We’ve updated our automated tweet mechanism, as recently we’ve been tweeting manually as the new items get detected. As always thank you for the support!
The kids Cyberquad got recalled back about a year ago, looks like its making a come back Model
#914
was the one re-called, and Model
#915AE
is the new one. Looks like it's popped up in the foreign Tesla Shops for now.
As many have posted it’s $95 for the TPMS sensors not $20,000 😂 the bot sometimes will hit a snag to where it picks it up prematurely hence the odd price here.
We’re aware of the issue with the bot and will be submitting a patch to the production environment tomorrow that will have everything back up and running. Sorry for the delay, we appreciate your patience!
Just a reminder on what this bot does. It keeps an inventory of SKUs for products on Teslas Shop and if it finds a SKU not in the database then it tweets about it. Most of the time this is a new item other times though it could be an existing product with a new SKU.
The bot has been experiencing an issue with automatically sending out the tweets when it finds a new item. We thought we had this solved awhile ago and have been investigating it since, thankfully this morning we were able to identify the issue and we should be 💯 now.
