A spot in the main draw on the line tomorrow in all of these Qualifying matches. Draw is at 12pm so Qualifiers aren't placed until later. Kinda wish they released the draw later so you knew the Qualifier right away, but doesn't make a huge difference I guess.

I felt bad for Brad Gilbert here, he told her to hit the backhand more and put more spin on her forehand but she was so stressed. It was kinda bizarre to see her be so focused on her box rather than the match in front of her, I've never seen her do that before and it cost her.

I really don't understand the outrage over Venus Williams getting a Wild Card for the Australian Open. The tournament director wants to bring the crowds, and Venus will. Not to mention she's a legend and a 2 time former Finalist. Said the same thing with Andy Murray last year.

Alcaraz is hitting his forehand like normal. Sinner's hip has held up through 3 rounds, hasn't dropped a set. Djokovic seems to be returning to form. So much for this thing feeling extremely wide open, those are the 3 clear favorites until proven otherwise.

The 1000s are the biggest events the ATP has so they rightfully promote it as such. These are their majors, which is probably why they are extending some of them to make it feel that way. Meanwhile, at the same event, WTA posted a 5 minute highlight as if it was any other event

There's this thing called mandatory tournaments, and unless you have an injury, you have to or there are penalties. Taking a 0 on the points plus maybe even a fine 6 WTA 500s, 10 WTA 1000s, and 4 GS is a lot. Even if they keep the 12 day 1000s, no 500s should be mandatory

This was amazing, Pegula has always been great in interviews as well as great to her colleagues. She knew how tough of a loss it was for Kalinskaya, has had losses like that herself. It's rare you see a player who just won a title as empathetic as Jess was today.

As far as Sabalenka is concerned, to go from having to underarm serve because she couldn't get an overarm serve in play in Adelaide to winning 33 matches and making the WTA Finals Final is incredible. Phenomenal turnaround from her, was not easy.
