The reason Aang didn’t call Katara Sifu is because she was his friend first. They were best friends for months before she became his master so it’s natural to keep addressing to your friend in a casual way. The second she let him know she’d like to be called Sifu,he did just that

@mymothervisenya You’re literally justifying his actions! Just because Zuko is struggling between good and evil we’re supposed to forgive his mistakes when he doesn’t even apologize? But Aang is supposed to be this pure character who never makes any mistakes and if he does we should crucify him?
