The violent disorder in Tamworth has ended after being successfully dispersed. We're now appealing for information to help us identify those responsible last night (4 Aug) after a crowd of protesters attacked the Holiday Inn and police officers outside.
UPDATE: We’re urging members of the public to avoid the area around the Holiday Inn, Tamworth, as specialist officers continue to deal with violent acts of thuggery.

M&S has been broken into at Ventura overnight. Officers flooded the area and some top police work led to an arrest of a male. He's now in custody and property was recovered from the break in. Enquiries ongoing and we are hopeful this male will be in prison very soon

We were called at 6.40pm this evening (Sept 24) to reports that a child had been seriously injured during an activity in the Snow Dome in Tamworth. Sadly, the boy, aged 12, died of his injuries shortly afterwards. Our thoughts are with his family.
Henry Horton is walking 1 mile a day from 31st March to 17th April raising money for the Stan Bowley Trust for their Best Foot Forward challenge. He dresses up for every walk & decided that he wanted to walk the beat with local officers. Well done Henry!
