This is so funny. Rafael Nadal asking for the Real Madrid - Bayern Munich score during his match last night vs Jiri Lehecka. Seems content with the answer being 2-2
It does not mean innocence at all. And leaves a thousand questions, not none… those questions would not be there if the judicial process wasn’t cut short by the settlement. He was found guilty, appealed, out of court settlement meaning appeal wasn’t heard

The conversation between Nadal & Cachin at the net:
Pedro: Thank you very much, you fulfilled my dream. I don't know if you can but I want to ask you, can I keep your shirt or towel or something?
Rafa: Yes, I'll give you now, Good luck with everything
The intimidation here is the problem. Whether using bad language or not, it’s not on. And has to be a default. No one should be subjected to this in their place of work
Feliciano López congratulates Jannik Sinner on his ATP Finals. The Italian says “thank you very much.”
Lopez: “Were you a little tired (in the final)?”
Sinner: “A little but he (Djokovic) played so well”

Stefanos Tsitsipas said that with his father no longer acting as coach he's hoping for "much more tranquility and calmness in the air when I'm competing."
This follows the announcement that Mark Philippoussis will be the world no.4's head coach
Doping expert Fritz Sörgel says it is "unacceptable" that Jannik Sinner hasn't been banned for his two positive samples when taking a drugs test earlier this year.
Sörgel also told

1. Giving the first question - and a soft one at that - to the website of the US Open
and then
2. Saying no more questions on that topic

on clay:
“It sucks… yeah, it sucks… because she’s really good. She’s able to reset the point over and over and over again so you never really get ahead. And then you try to make something out of nothing.”
Roberto Bautista did not hold back in his views of IMG and the wildcards in Madrid:
"I don't agree that it has huge amounts of sponsors, Spanish institutions, that it is of no use. It doesn't happen anywhere in the world, no tournament. Only happens here"
It is with immense sadness that I have to share the news that our broadcaster, journalist and friend Jakub Bobro has died.
Despite only joining Talking Tennis a few months ago, Jakub soon became an integral part of the team and someone I already regarded as a friend, as did…
Marta Kostyuk on differences between Slams & other tournaments
Tennis is different every day, every tournament. I can play a 500 play four out of five matches against top-10 players, but Qinwen this year in Australia, she made it to the final of Australia without facing top-50
Rafael Nadal in the same cycle as last year. Can’t serve. Which is why you’ll see clips of him practicing groundstrokes. This was the same problem in 2023, that led him to withdraw from the French Open & have an operation. Not certain, but expecting a Monte Carlo withdrawal soon
Danielle Collins was asked what she said to Iga Swiatek when she spoke to her after retiring from their quarterfinal with what Collins later explained was an abdominal muscle injury.

The Spaniard also said she plans to play as often as possible during the clay court season, and is especially looking forward to playing in her "hometown" Madrid
Iga Swiatek gets it done, 7-6 6-3 but Emma Raducanu really made the world no.1 work for it.

Rafael Nadal to Spanish media:
“I can't be analyzing every day whether or not it can be my last match.
It seems that you want to retire me every day, give me a little more time"
Whatever happens, Maria Sakkari is proving a lot of the doubters wrong. She is competing with the absolute best, something that maybe even in 2021 she wasn't doing (when she reached her career-high and reached two Slam semis)
Elena Rybakina French Open press conference: “I've been struggling with sleep issues. So, I had to skip tournaments. Also allergies. Now I'm feeling pretty well and focused. I think everybody when they work a lot, it's not easy to sleep. Then the recovery is not the greatest.”

Roger Federer’s coach when he first won Wimbledon, Peter Lundgren, has died at the age of 59.
The Swede also coached Marcelo Rios, Marat Safin, Stan Wawrinka, Marcos Baghdatis, Grigor Dimitrov and Daniela Hantuchová.
I do think there is an issue with people / players being filmed when they don’t know it. I get that giving us behind the scenes stuff is great, but maybe some consent should also be in order? Maybe even rooms of privacy?

Unfortunately we didn’t know there were cameras there. I just finished my match, nobody was in the gym, we were just stretching and chatting after my win. So please, before all this judgement and talking inform yourselfs and chill a bit. Thanks

Nadal: "It's a big percentage chance I won't be back... the body is feeling better, though, so I can't be sure. Maybe in two months 'it's enough' but it is something I don't feel yet. I hope to be back on this court for the Olympics. Another chance, I hope to be well prepared."
Iga Swiatek: There's always pressure when you're favourite in every match. In Doha, it was hard to let the pressure go... in the past two years, it's never easy. I'm not taking anything for granted. Keep my focus, it's the only way

Carlos Alcaraz watches Rio Open semi-final between Francisco Cerundolo and Sebastian Baez alongside David Ferrer.
Obviously elected to stay in Rio de Janeiro, rather than head back to Europe, ahead of the Netflix Slam exhibition vs Rafael Nadal and the Indian Wells tournament
As a result, at the beginning of the Iga Swiatek - Danielle Collins match, Damian and I will be speaking about our memories of Jakub, who I was fortunate enough to meet in person a few weeks ago in London during Wimbledon. Let me tell you, he was such a nice person.

His father told me today that Jakub “lived for tennis, journalism and podcasts” and the family “would be honored” if we dedicate a section of our upcoming broadcast in Jakub’s memory.
Iga Swiatek beats Elise Mertens 6-3 6-4
From 5-1 down in the first set Mertens made a good fist of it but gave herself too big a mountain to climb vs the world no.1
