I think about this all the time. 1. She was 22. This was years before her vocal prime. 2. The sustained F5 is resonant. AFAIK, she's the only mezzo soprano in history to do this. 3. She did it while kneeling which is MUCH harder than while standing. Beyoncé - Be With You - 2003

@Hope_Codes @drkahaynes @blacksciblog Sure. Humans smell when odor molecules bind to receptors in our nose. These odor molecules do not contain bacteria, they are JUST odor molecules. If odor molecules contained harmful bacteria, humans would be unable to go to the bathroom without getting sick regularly.

@Hope_Codes @drkahaynes @blacksciblog When you flush a toilet, bacteria will spread elsewhere because the toilet is propelling literal fecal matter around, due to the force during the flush. Just spray disinfectant in and around your toilet to fix that and clean it regular. But smelling poses zero harm. Zero.

@4PFBRBIE @DjswagmanMike @OfRichmondd Mariah? Mariah Carey who can do more in that register than any human? Minnie didn't even win in this video. Minnie held a few notes with vibrato and Mariah did that + trills and some runs, and in one of her first live performances too. Let's be honest.

The "she doesn't sound like she used to so she isn't one of the greatest singers" argument for Mariah's voice makes 0 sense. I never see this logic applied to other careers. Will LeBron suddenly be "not one of the greats" when he is old and the average pro player is better? No.

Crazy that so many people still say Beyoncé is overrated when she's easily the best non-classical mezzo soprano vocalist in recorded history, a phenomenal dancer, fantastic writer, the most awarded living artist and an inspiration for just about every relevant celebrity.

I think Whitney fans latch onto the fact Whitney is a slightly better technical singer than Mariah (not that they know why) because if you look at any other area, Mariah stomps. Like overall Mariah is extensively more talented. Her writing is peerless, musicality better...
Mariah is one of the greatest singers in the world along side Whitney and Aretha but let’s not act like she wasn’t dodging the stage for the beginning of her career . Whitney was selling out stadiums and singing live since she first started . Mariah and Whitney aren’t the same in
