Today we remember PC Roger Brereton who died at Hungerford on this day in 1987. To honour Roger, we are proud to introduce the Brereton award which will be awarded to a police cadet who has shown commitment and service to Thames Valley Police and the community of West Berkshire.

At around 8am we received a call reporting a wolf had escaped from a sanctuary in Picklepythe Lane.

Brian Tilling, aged 86, who was reported missing from Thatcham yesterday, has been located safe and well.
We would like to thank the public and media for sharing our appeal which helped police locate him.

A man has been charged following two incidents of rape in Newbury.
Ruhen Miah, aged 42, of Charter Road, Newbury was charged today, with two counts of rape.
He will appear at Reading Magistrates' Court later today.
2 stolen motor vehicles recovered and a significant quantity of drugs sized across Newbury and Thatcham. All in a weekend's work for the local neighbourhood team.
