Another act of incredibly heroic work by a #TTC frontline employee around 6pm last night in Scarborough. A bus operator on Finch east route rescued four people from a car stuck on slippery tracks just moments before it was hit by a train. Formal commendation will be awarded.

Very early estimates show a #TTC ridership bump of roughly 70 per cent compared to a regular Monday - 2.7M rides vs 1.6M. While we can always learn and improve, things went very well from a transit perspective. Thanks to our staff and customers for making it so!

Thanks to excellent heads up work by #TTC special constables yesterday, a suspect in the recent elevator vandalism spree was arrested without incident and turned over to @TorontoPolice who laid 10 charges. The matter is now before the courts.
