Kadri for Barrie & Kerfoot.
Toews for two 2nd's.
Byram for Duchene.
Girard for Turris.
Burakovsky for 2nd & 3rd.
Nichuskin FA.
Francouz FA.
That's great pro scouting..
Today I was notified by Bell media that I was terminated. Although shocked, I'm so thankful for the last 11 years. It was a dream job, working with great people. JR was kind enough to give me a chance when I returned to Ottawa, and I will be forever thankful.
Ladies and gentlemen put your hands together ๐ ๐ ๐
The Montreal Canadiens were
#1
in salary, and
#32
in the standings.
This is truly an incredible accomplishment.
Just wanted to thank everyone who has reached out to check in on me. I've taken some time away to work on some things, but certainly plan to return soon. Please remember more than ever, it's never a bad time to ask for help.
@TSN1200
Today I will head into rehab. But it's only because of some great friends. Please never be afraid to ask for help. I'm just super thankful. I'm not posting this to look for sympathy. Just feel lucky. This song kind of sums things up. God bless ๐ ๐
Regardless of how this plays out. What I was told and reported, has not happened. That's 100% on me. I was told and said a deal was done, and only needed approval from the NHL. If that was the case, the deal would be done today. Sincere apologies to everyone.
I was cut from my team at 13, barely made AAA at 16. Bought, repaired, and made my own gear, while working as a janitor at Earl Armstrong arena. I can't even explain how proud I was to represent Canada at the 87 WJC.

Thanks so much to all the great listeners and sponsors who support the station and shows I was part of. Ottawa is such a great city, and I'm so thankful to call this home.
Cheers
I said Marty St. Louis and the Habs would struggle.
WRONG.
I said Suzuki would struggle as the Captain.
WRONG.
I said Dach was no good.
WRONG.
As of noon today I have resigned from my duties as the Ottawa area Habs correspondent.
Merci et bon dimanche beautรฉ.
Sign Lehner, C. Brown, Dillon instead of Hainsey. Then go to the Tkachuk house with a blank contract and a new 2D Jersey with "The C" on it. Do a 8 year deal over scotch & cigars with Walt.
The class and integrity you hear on the air from
@ian_mendes
, is exactly what he brings off the air, as a co-host, husband, father, and man. He's also the person who donates his free time to making our city better, along with many hours helping out
@sensfoundation
I know of four groups interested in buying the Sens. All four are looking at staying in Ottawa and being part of the LeBreton project. I've spoken directly with one group that is lead by a former NHL player.
The Sens would make the playoffs next year, if...
They sign Stone, Duchene, & Dzingle.
Move Ryan, Smith, & Ceci.
Mix in Batherson, Formenton, & Wolanin.
Keep Nilsson over Condon.
Upgrade the coaching staff.
Loved Don Cherry growing up. Proud Canadian and supported our team back in 87. But his segment and takes are so outdated. His comments last night were misinformed, and down right offensive to our great city.
I also wanted to add, I've never loved a job more, or actually felt I was good at it lol.
Coming into work everyday with
@TSNJR
and
@TSNHammer
was pure utopia.
Beauty vibe.
Thanks so much for all the kind words in the past 48 hours. The connection with the listener was certainly important to me, and always gave me energy and passion for my work. Hope everyone has a beauty weekend. Cheers
Stutzle has 79 points this year. Lafrienere, Byfield, and Raymond have a combined 90. The German is lapping the field of his draft class. No doubt if the draft was held today Stรผtzle & Sanderson would go 1 - 2.
Hope everyone has a great long weekend. Life certainly has it's ups and downs. Enjoy your friends and family and the people you love. Sending hugs, โค๏ธ, and beauty vibe. Cheers

#speculation
Rumors spreading that Sens are ready to offer for NYR's
#1
pick. I'm guessing Rangers will ask for Tkachuk + the 2 picks.
If this becomes the offer.
To OTT: Lafreniere, Georgiev and Deangelo.
To NYR: Tkachuk,
#3
pick(Byfield) and
#5
pick
Is this tempting?
The fans are sending a message to Andlauer and Staios that they want a coaching change. Showing up and being passionate is much better than having fans stay home. This is year 7 of the rebuild, people have every right to be frustrated.
Sounds like Spezza will be waived when Hyman returns.
He's not a great fit as a 4th line center. But gotta say if I'm looking for a mentor for L. Brown, White, or Norris. I'm bringing him back to Ottawa a 700k, and playing him ahead of Anisimov, Ryan, Boedker, or Beaudin.
Took Echo for a swim at Mooneys Bay. Probably 2000 people in the space of a 9 hole golf course. Less than 100 are on 18 holes at any course in Ontario. How does this make sense?

My oldest boy Shayne has arrived at Ft. Benning Georgia to start his Army Ranger training. I'm so proud and nervous. Please God, watch over him and keep him safe. ๐
I want to thank Sens GM Pierre Dorion for reaching out, and interviewing me for the AGM job. We had a terrific 5 hour meeting. They choose to go in another direction, and I totally respect that.
Hearing the new rink at LeBreton will have a retractable roof for summer concerts. Along with an above ground tram to Hull, Dowes Lake, and the Market. It will seat 22,000 so it can draw big music acts along with multiple Stanley Cup Finals.
You know Chychrun will be so pumped to come home, and join a playoff chase. I bet we see him tomorrow at MSG. Sens just added a nice top 4 at a very reasonable cost. Along with a tremendous young man and leader.
I spoke to a former GM who is now scouting. He said Carter Yakemchuk is a young Shea Weber. He was with the Preds when they took Weber, and just loves this pick.
The Sens got a right shot, with size, mobility, and skill. Will play at around 220.
My source tells me frustration has set in with the Tkachuk camp. Brady is trying to stay positive, but doesn't understand why it's taking so long. I asked what has been offered, and it was termed they have not received a legimate offer from the Sens.
@TSN1200
One of the best Sens weeks I've ever covered. Four dominant wins over Detroit x 2, NYR, and CBJ. Along with the massive addition of Chychrun.
The brand has come a long ways in past 8 months.
Craig Anderson didn't become a starting goalie in the NHL until age 28. He gave Ottawa 10 great years of stability in goal. He took down the very best in the playoffs in Price, Rask, and Lundqvist. What a terrific career.
On a personal note. It's been so nice being back at work and back into a great routine. Something simple like Saturday morning coffee, Twitter, hockey on TV, and waking up feeling healthy. Makes me feel very happy inside. Cheers.
Before the show at 9 I must blow off steam.
How f---ing stupid was the Zaitsev situation. From DJ Smith bringing him in. Putting him with Chabot, and moving Demelo. Then paying a high price to move Zaitsev.
This move alone sums up the Dorion/Smith tenure.
I would like to thank my family, friends, and listeners for helping me go 8 for 8. You can't do this alone. I'm also crediting my meds, long baths, green grapes, and clean living. Thank you.

My daily routine.
Sleep lots.
Daily bath. (Reflect, plan)
Eat healthy.
Ton of lemon water. (Pee lots)
Zero alcohol.

Love and be loved.
Set goals.
Be patient and thankful.
For me it's all about routine. Breaking old habits and starting new.
Cheers
My crew when the Sens come east.
Tkachuk Norris Dadonov
Stutzle L. Brown Batherson
Paul Tierney C. Brown
Formenton White Watson
Chabot Gudbranson
Wolanin Zaitsev
Brannstrom Zub
Just great news on Brady Tkachuk. Exactly what the Sens and city needed at this point. My be a little pain out of the gate. But long term this is just terrific. A 7 year deal will help many other things fall into place. Time to give out that C and pop the bubbly.
McPhee took on the Grabovski contract and the Islanders 1st round pick in 2017, taking Brannstrom 15th overall. From Ottawa they took Methot, and flipped him to Dallas for a 2020 2nd round pick. Today he turned Grabovski and Methot into Mark Stone for the next 8 years.
#Bravo
Ran into Zub getting out his car yesterday at the rink. He was fully dressed, driving a very modest car, and heading in for some solo skill work. He had a big smile and his English was solid. Hopefully he's a Sen for many years to come. It's not easy finding solid D man/people.
Great trade for the Sens. I said it would be nothing more than 25. Well dumping Korpisalo is even better. Credit Staios for being patient. Great start to the off season for the Sens.
TRADE ALERT: The
#Sens
have acquired G Linus Ullmark from
@NHLBruins
in exchange for (Bostonโs original) โ24 first-round draft pick (no. 25 overall), C Mark Kastelic and G Joonas Korpisalo. As part of the transaction, the
#Sens
will retain 25% of Korpisaloโs remaining salary.
I was so wrong about Tarasenko. In my defense it's before I had my Lasik eye surgery.
I even thought we might see a drop after 10 games, but last night he was jumping. Forget about his shot, what about those seem passes he makes? Get him up with Chuck-Norris, and cancel ๐ time.
After 10 years of covering the Sens, I'm making a couple changes. I will spend way more time at the rink, and I'm not putting up with anymore petty BS. I know the main source of this, and he has zero credibility in NHL circles. I have no problem with good debate, or disagreeing.
I love good hockey debate. But I'm curious how people who have never worked in the industry, can tell you who is and isn't qualified to manage NHL teams?
Sheldon Keefe calling out the big boys this early won't end well. He's also coming after the refs like it's game 7 OT. Showing a total lack of composure.
On a personal level, I'm going to tweet out some thoughts on my journey the past six weeks. I'm not here to preach or pretend I have all the answers. Or that this isn't an on going situation for myself. But I still want to share.
