It’s so interesting that there is so little movement of players from USL to MLS... there HAS to be players playing at the USL who are good enough to do it in the MLS (I know there are) - the lack of linear movement between the two separate leagues in the same nation is remarkable

"stretch runs" -- runs in behind to stretch the space between lines (12 yards in this eg). Bamford starting in an off-side position, gets on-side as the ball arrives to his teammate and runs behind at the point where the ball can be played (timing of the movement is everything)

Really wish people would stop putting other youth development approaches down. Not ONE method will ever suit EVERY player. Build a club culture and let players who like what you do join. Quit bashing other approaches. Just as long as it’s a considered approach. End.
