Here's a gif of the intended transformation, wherein I am just sliding parts around in Zbrush. The rigging/animation teams will make it look way cooler!
Process behind making Long Claws. Wax-resin, straight out of the mold (with help from my partner), hours of sanding (like any good hobby), and then cleaned up and neatly stabbed into a chunk of foam for easy transport.
Some of my sketch process and the resulting high poly pieces for my Sentient-themed tarot throwing cards skin, which will be a part of the Limbo Deluxe bundle.
I can finally share this * - * I made the Kuria in the Tennocon museum! 3D printed on my Anycubic Photon and painted with Vallejo and Citadel paints, and chalk pastel for shading!
Could not be prouder to announce that I am now the Weapons Team Lead on Warframe. I started as a fan, and I'm incredibly humbled to be here among so many people I respect so much. Here's a (very) small sampling of my fanart from before I was hired in 2016. Thank you, DE! <3
Here's a few more of the Quellor too. Still working on chipping. I'd like to try and use some oil paint on it for streaking. Also: Glow powder on the emissive areas. Eventually........

Washes done, now using pastels to shade recesses/deep areas. I used very dark brown on a cotton bud for most of it, and a lighter brown/red on the white areas (never shade with pure black, it flattens everything!). Also using light dust pigment to "age" the larger areas. Subtle.
Here's a closer look at two of the new Archwing sets!
Itzal and Elytron have been broken into two parts, with new winglets added. Textures are brand new PBR and fully tintable. We've also rearranged tints so they make sense with the original modular set, like metal in last tint.
Finally some progress on the shotty. Quellor for scale. It will be nearly as long once I've got all the pieces printed up and that means it will be kind of enormous... :)))
These lean so hard into my comfort zone with weapon design, what a joy! Especially excited for the pump shotty :))
My goal with weapon design is always "if it's good enough that I want to 3D print it then I did a good" and that one fits the bill...
All parts printed, most parts primed. Magnets installed for the two front ears so it can be set down flat and transported easier. Top rail is removable to add RGB LED electronics. No clue what I'm doing with an Arduino :)
I'm proud to be a part of this team working on Warframe every day but there is one day every year where everyone else gets to see how fucking amazing this team is in a way only TennoCon can show. Thanks for taking a chance on this obsessed fanartist almost 7 years ago DE. <3
"I make weapons for video games" I tell them. They laugh, giving me that look, as if I live in some ridiculous fantasy world. I go back to slowly sharpening my digital sword with hPolish, biding my time.
So I guess I got a little carried away with this demo thing... Tomorrow I will do a lowpoly and bake and talk you guys through the process during another livestream! Cheers!
let's try again!
this design is moving a bit away from Gundam, but I don't think I mind. the hip skirts are mind-controlled space shields that can detach because of course they are.
way happier with this direction :))
This was a botched pour, the plaster set too early to remove bubbles and voids, was too late to save the wax so poured anyway for science. What cool results. Liver of sulphur on the dark ones, and bare metal for the white.
Thanks
@MSkyerzz
! A few fun things I did this year. The Excal helmet was an exploration exercise based on my first TennoGen helmet.
Of course I have a ton of WF work to put in here, but I wish I had more personal work to share. I'm gonna push to do more personal art in 2021.
Finished Sazabi Ver Ka 5-23-2019.
Vallejo acrylic airbrush paints
Pastels for post-shading
AK Interactive light dust for post-highlights
Mr. Super Clear matte topcoat
Citadel acrylic brush paints for grime and metal chipping
Always so satisfying to retouch an old piece in high detail for 3D printing. :))) Trying my hand at low relief woodgrain and some fancy inlays this time. Test polypaint on the woodgrain for the top bit. WIP
I just realized I didn't take any ~nice~ shots of Janus, so took a few new shots of her out in the back yard. The shoulders have been repaired 4 or 5 times now, ignore the glue...

Some progress on this kit. Working on the rest of the arm armor and weapons now. Might have to dial back the chipping later... (it's not topcoated, so I can mess with it)
