Disagreeing is no problem. Respectful debate is welcomed. Personal experiences are not denied, and if anything, we may learn from them. But.... hate and rudeness WILL be blocked.

Some of the outfits I wear as a female detective, depending on the role I am doing. All completely suitable. Let's focus instead on the difficult role we have, leading complex investigative strategies on serious criminal cases, working long hrs and being dedicated to our job.

How many other countries have unarmed officers running towards knife wielding killers. British Police really are quite remarkable when you stop to think about that.

Far right - hate police, think they are too soft, too empathetic and anti british Far left - hate police, think they are too hard, racist and authoritarian Police officers- just want to keep you all safe and get home safely to their families, friends, sofa or bed.

The problem isn't that Police strip search child. The problem is that children, some very young, carry drugs and weapons secreted internally after being exploited by organised criminal gangs. Even worse is the willingness of some to use those weapons often to protect the drugs.

Sigh. If police receive information that there could be a viable firearms in a house we dont tend to send an unarmed Bobby on the beat to knock on the door and ask to see the gun. They will want to remove ALL potential risk. To the public, the suspect and the police.

How can the Met Police possibly justify arresting a 12 year old at gunpoint, handcuffing him & putting him in a police van? This after dozens of armed police officers raided his home at 11.00 at night. All over a toy. Is this what they call community policing? #BlackLivesMatter

When I was a DC, I could put together a full case file in a couple hrs ( a day or two at most if complex ). Officers now can spend days if not weeks doing the same thing due to realms of technical material we never had back then. It's vital that we understand demands on officers

2 key reasons for Police to be prioritised for vaccines. 1. They can not socially distance whilst doing their job putting them at risk of catching covid 2. Whether symptomatic or not large numbers of police isolating means less police protecting the public. = public affected

Today I had the pleasure of meeting this lady. She is the neighbour of a house recently burgled which we are investigating. Watch as she disturbs, chases and scares off three burglars. #hero

When someone has been shot or stabbed and police ( who are just members of the public ) run TOWARDS the danger to save life and prevent more violence, the only mention of police in MSM should be praise. To criticise tactics or rationalise the assaults on them is mind boggling.

This was the moment just before my team had two in custody for drugs offences. Why not just knock you may ask ? This rapid entry is the difference between securing evidence and giving our drug dealers time to flush, plug or throw evidence away.

Dont know why but my mind keeps thinking about Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole. In a world where there is so much hate and challenge this young man literally gave his life for a stranger with no hesitation. There are just no words. #Hero #RIPJIMI

How to #beatthebias on #InternationalWomensDay 1. Don't assume the female in senior management office is the secretary when you are looking for a senior officer

Every walk of life, especially those that have chosen to place themselves in a position of power. But tarring all people the same based on the minority is a dangerous narrative. Thousands of officers daily are doing everything they can to keep you safe and protect you.

@1Fubar Strange tweet. Simple facts- This officer WILL arrest criminals, and they WILL put themselves in harms way to protect you. You have no clue about this officers physical abilities by watching this footage.

Each year approx 150 thousand members of public choose to leave home each day and deal with death, violence, trauma, abuse, emotional distress along with many other things. These people are police officers. They choose to keep you safe. Dont let a few bad examples distract from this
