everyone is welcome to use, just please credit Sundancer’s of West Dennis on Cape Cod
@SundancersC
same with the other video of the straight-line wind. And a few photos I’m going to post from him
This is unreal, I have never seen anything like it. Thunderstorm just formed over Chatham light. 1 inch diameter raindrops sending everybody running. One of the most amazing things, third and fourth one in five hours
OTD Wx'n More w T-Rex & TK Fri Dec 23, 2022. No real editing - just observations of record cold & warm mixing it up across the USA today.
Mom joined Dad in heaven - peacefully - this morning - at home - in her own bed.
Great Mom & Great life.. more later
One and only sunset tweet today, takes a lot of willpower to send only one photo.
Also a glass of wine.
Things often appear differently after drinking a glass of wine,
I believe it’s called refraction
Breaking news, the bowls are open. My first ever run in Idaho, locals say this kind of deep dry snow happens about once a decade. Timing and location location location
@sunvalley
My Dad got kicked out of Hospice bc he wouldn't die..
bc we knew it was not time. we traded his medicines for placebos and got him back driving & telling stories for 2 more years.. the experts had him dead (medicated to death) years too early
'expert' shmexpert
we are brainwashed
I took so many photos and videos today, it’s a wonder I don’t have frostbite fingers. But this one might be my favorite. It is not a wave washing up, it is an artifact of a wave that washed ashore and froze in it’s tracks last night.
From spring skiing 15 hours ago, to pure powder mid winter. A few crispy spots on some of the trails, but one of the best April Fools’ Day surprises I have experienced
Vernal Equinox. New growth & new life. But the loss a special life this week is so haunting. Leaving us a challenge to find joy. One of the stages of grief is acceptance. Trying to get there, w help of T-Rex and so many of you. ‘Out The Door’ today is dedicated to Mish Michaels.
a first for me, took a little nature break, I had no idea I had company. Not sure how to behave near a noose, but this one certainly seems docile. Hope is OK - off paradise

on TV last winter.. ahead of a storm like this
TK: "We are tracking a storm that does not exist yet"
One of my Many Bosses: "Stop saying 'we are tracking a storm that does not exist yet.'"
TK this winter - not on TV anymore
much more time to track
A STORM THAT DOES NOT EXIST YET
Thank you Audrey.. much appreciated
This week is beginning of 29th year for NECN..
Sooo many new friends and colleagues along the way
..and roughly 70,000 forecasts
never dull - that's for sure
We are back!
Say hello to the next group of future meteorologists
@bhobservatory
“launch your weather career” program
Today’s lesson, Seabreeze front, (and how to fudge ten-day forecast)
There is no pressure like low pressure, and that’s what I feel right now. Even though we have bombogenesis incoming,
TK two minute update from the flag pole
What happens when you’re mowing, & accidentally run over a yellow jacket nest. You get stung, let go of the mower, & start running. Mower goes over cliff. You rush to CVS for Benadryl. That was end of my day yesterday, mower still sits down there guarded by hot yellow jacket bees
Through my life, Labor Day has been the saddest day. Kind of a long story.. growing up in a summer vacation area. Still a little melancholy 40 years later, but happy to have a few friends that think this is beautiful right here right now. Counting blessings compared to Bahamas
Breaking news on the home front, these two have lived together for about a year and a half. This is the first time they’ve sat next to one another. Bode finally excepting T Rex as part of the family
1st light
@Sugarbush_VT
still snowing straight down, no wind. Can’t believe we have power. Trees look pretty stressed.
@4castrnh
is out taking measurements & will report back
who is Christopher Foley, 28, of Louisa County Virginia?
The Human Being who died in an horrific accident yesterday
Thanks to how we package news
he goes to next life known as person in a Garbage Truck
wish we could write news as if Chris was a Family Member
Are you sitting down?
It's a long one - grab a beverage & watch when you have a few minutes - like 5 minutes 16 seconds
TK Snowcast January 27, 2022
Boston Blizzard centric Snowcast.
Bombogenesis to Nth degree.. No Joy in forecasting destructive weather.
tune in to NECN & NBC10 Boston
bid farewell
@MattNBCBoston
as he launches into the next realm..
was great being your partner for a couple decades..
Happy for you getting free of this grueling shift & work load ~
you were able to master with Herculean Strength for so long
Josh at Jay
"power is out"
but lifts were not going to spin today anyway
plus he does not wait for lifts to open anyway
he adds
"best November base we've had in a long time.. skiing back country and not hitting bottom.."
and that was before this storm
here is this morning
uh-oh
after carefully trolling twitter for hours on end today,
along with putting together about 70,000 forecasts on my own since 1987..
it looks like we may be getting option d5 this weekend
Wednesday has always been the day to make the serious call for the weekend (too many times the Mo-Tu forecasts ruined weekend plans, and the Wx was fine)
consistency dictates..
Major Saturday coastal storm Cape Cod to Maine.
Likely the worst non-winter-storm) since Oct 27, 2021
My one year anniversary of being cancelled by NBC..
This morning was a good reminder how fortunate that is for me. ty Anzio! (tho I really really miss the old NECN)
Sometimes when you wake up, the first thing you wanna do is take a nap. Especially on a Monday. This will help you fall back to sleep if you turn up the volume
Dad passed away just about 4 yr ago.. This was his favorite belt, It’s been my favorite belt since.
It just broke.
He customized holes to make it fit just right, I used same custom holes - looks like same waist size during same ages.
seems a bit silly to lament passing of a belt
Raining on Cape Cod, but spirits are bright. Don’t tell anybody - but I dug this tree up from Sutton Vermont when I was a student at LSC in 1987, transplanted South Dennis when it was 2 feet tall
Friends that are not working today. At 3000 feet two different mountains in northern Vermont. April 11, 2022 on a season that just will not go down without a fight
Photo op is not gonna last that long, it will be melting as fast as it came in. We picked up about 3 inches in three hours between 3 and 6 AM. It may keep on snowing and raining, but the accumulation is done
Nothing like homegrown, this is where we grew up. Mom and I are still here the rest of the family is not far.
Hoping your Saturday sunset is just as enjoyable, can’t wait for tomorrow either
Another Wednesday
Another "Time to make the call on the weekend"
Another blowhard hybrid northeaster
this one looks like dual glorified waves on warm fronts
High pressure to the north makes up for lack of strong low pressure, to bring wind & waves & rounds of rain.
As long is it
You’re not gonna believe this, but our nephew Sammy also went to heaven today. Here he is with T Rex at Christmas. Bode and Sammy hopefully both smiling down on us.
I think I’ve used up everybody’s sympathy for today. Much appreciated. We will celebrate their lives
One of the reasons the sunset is so pretty right now is High pressure giving a couple of days of light wind, allowing build up of pollution in the atmosphere.. lighting up orange
ECMWF continues it's trend south for next Friday -
now a run-of-the-mill sne Blizzard,
frustration lately makes me want to quit - but this is not even my job - it's a hobby now.
it was much easier just watching Don Kent
when weather used to also be my hobby, 45 years ago
