I met someone on the selection committee at their Residency program, while at the conference, and their sentiment was "Any student paying out of pocket to attend multiple conferences, is explicitly showing their interest/commitment". So keep going to those conferences.

I guess I retract this RT. While studying today I learned of Riesman’s sign… Whereby auscultation over the closed lid in patient’s with Graves ophthalmopathy, one can appreciate a bruit. Valsalva can even accentuate the bruit. #TED #Ophthalmology
