You're Playing Gwen Fiora Wrong 🧵 The most common version of Gwen Fiora for so long has been the version that plays around Karma as a secondary carry. This patch, after the buff to 4 Warrior, the strongest version of this comp now plays around 4 Warrior with Katarina instead.

Eliminated Day 1 of Midset. Can't say I'm too disappointed since I never expected myself to make it here. Overall very happy with this set, getting 2nd at Shurima Cup lit a fire in me that I didn't know existed. I will be back for 9.5 even stronger. This is just the beginning.

I think Giant Slayer/Wisdom has done a great job running the tourneys. Can there be improvements? Yes. They have improved the format based on the input provided across the sets. I've had a great time interacting with all of the tourney organizers.

Other notes on how to build Varus: You 100% need two things: an Infinity Edge, and a way to get Varus to cast quickly. The obvious example is Shojin, but Red Buff is often better since Varus applies it well Double Infinity Edge is very strong, as you can see in the builds below

At the end of most sets, I poll my YouTube viewers on how much they enjoyed it. Set 10 was BY FAR the most positive response I've ever gotten, with over 70% of viewers rating it a 4 or a 5. Just wanted to shout out the dev team for the amazing set, can't wait for Set 11!

Armor Shred Itemization- Evenshroud is much better than Last Whisper. This is because Varus does a ton of up front burst damage on his ability. Last Whisper only applies after doing damage, so you're often not getting armor shred on the unit Varus ults. Evenshroud fixes this.

Who to make the High Arcana: Almost always Tahm Kench. In the words of Kevin Parker "Never Xerath. Xerath is trash." Hecarim may make sense if you need the AD, but every game I watched from KP, he selected the Tahm and left it on him all game.

Syndra items have changed a little since she was last meta. You still want to build mana + attack speed, but now it's actually optimal to build a damage item on her. Guinsoo's is a lot weaker since her cast is no longer super short.

The default level 8 of this comp is very strong if you can hit Xerath. If you miss him, or if you're pushing level 9, you can play any Preserver. Milio is also solid, but Bard gives so many traits that he's often better.

This comp is also pretty flexible. If you have extra AD items, you can look to play Smolder and Ezreal for 4 Blaster. KP never drops Rumble, he's the glue that holds the comp together. If you have AD bruiser type items, you can fit Briar and Nasus in.

Just like when Syndra was OP, picking up an early Syndra is super important since you need to get her stacking as fast as possible. Soju ends up with an early Syndra 2* at 2-2, so he decides to commit to the comp.

This comp also loves getting an early Briar. Soju gets one off carousel this game and she does work, especially after he feeds her every round. In late game fights, she was doing more damage than Syndra once 2 starred.
