Next time you use your card, remember that the merchant does not receive the entire amount you paid! Banks, payment processors and card networks take a cut from the merchant. #Bitcoin fixes this for the merchant, they receive the entire amount paid.

Growing up in the middle east, remittance was very important for my dad and every other foreign worker. Remittance companies have robbed the purchasing power of these workers through exorbitant fees. In 2022 fees accounted for ~$48 BILLION!! #Bitcoin gives us an alternative.

Visual #Bitcoin Dictionary Soft fork is a backward compatible change. Nodes and miners can choose whether or not to adopt the changes. Soft forks result in a temporary blockchain divergence, which resolves itself as the majority of the network adopts the new rules.

Day 2 in Cape Town so far - sunrise hike with #Bitcoin whiteboard @DrLuke_B @ColeTU (2 Yes, 1 Not Sure) - tipped server in sats - someone overheard and asked about #Bitcoin (they got their first sats on ⚡️) - tipped barber in sats

How quickly has your node downloaded the blockchain? -A year ago: Umbrel took me ~6 days -6 months ago: Bitcoin Core took me ~7 days -This week: @start9labs took ~ 24 hours 🤯 Don't know what black magic they've done, but I like it! PS. same internet for the three attempts

Visual #Bitcoin Dictionary UTXO...da fk? It an acronym for Unspent Transaction Output, refers to the leftover #Bitcoin when a transaction takes place. If Jane has 1 BTC (input) and sends 0.5 BTC to John Output 1 (utxo) = 0.5 BTC for Jane Output 2 (utxo) = 0.5 BTC for John

What is the most uncomfortable situation you’ve put yourself in during your #Bitcoin journey? Personally, the first time I held the #Bitcoin whiteboard at a mall I felt anxious, nervous and a little insecure. Second time around, it was a total 180, I felt energized and excited!
