When Tyler & I first started the pod 4 years ago I never would’ve imagined something like this would be happening. Incredibly excited to take this thing to new heights alongside the
@chargers
amazing production team! Can’t thank
@jasonlavine
enough for getting this rolling! ⚡️
Some news:
@tylerjschoon
and I are incredibly excited to share that we have partnered with the
@chargers
to provide weekly content for them across their platforms! Our first episode will be dropping tomorrow at 10 AM on their feeds to wrap up our pre-draft coverage!
Kellen Moore had people on this app questioning if Cooper Rush should be the long term starter for the Cowboys instead of Dak Prescott. The dude is absolutely a top notch offensive coordinator. This is an A+ hire from Brandon Staley and company.
Justin Herbert played the majority of the 2022 season dealing with fractured rib cartilage and now it’s out that he had a torn labrum to close the year too. All while his supporting cast was torn to shreds at points throughout the year. Still dragged his team to the playoffs.
I still don’t understand how this is any different than a sideline toe tap? Ridiculous rule.
Mike Williams should have been awarded with a touchdown for this.
Brandon Staley is everybody’s favorite head coach. Everyone wishes their team had drafted Justin Herbert, Rashawn Slater, and Asante Samuel Jr. What a time to be a Chargers fan. Feels nice.
How DARE Justin Herbert not make an MVP leap while he’s spent 90% of the season dealing with fractured rib cartilage, working with a supporting cast decimated by injuries, being the most pressured QB in the league, and dealing with inept play calling! THE AUDACITY!
I absolutely agree that Jalen Hurts deserves to be in the MVP conversation but Patrick Mahomes lost his WR1 and the biggest cheat code in the league and responded with a historically great season. Mahomes is on a different planet right now and is absolutely the MVP.
Per, Colin Cowherd the Spanos', Tom Telesco, and Brandon Staley are all meeting together this afternoon, and "decisions will be made".
So sounds like we'll have some coaching staff clarity soon enough...
Peyton, Rivers, Brees, Big Ben, Brady. All the quarterbacks that dominated my childhood are now all retired. Gonna be super weird next year without any of them in the league.
Last night has the chance to be a monumental turning point for this Chargers team. If Brandon Staley’s defense can play that connected more often, Justin Herbert will lead them to the playoffs for the first time in his career. Just keep building!
There’s just no way you can watch what other play callers have done for their QBs this weekend & feel good about what Joe Lombardi does for Justin Herbert. At the absolute bare minimum the Chargers need a new OC, QB Coach/Pass Game Coordinator, & Run Game Coordinator next szn imo
Keenan Allen has played 12 games since returning from the hamstring injury in week 11 last year.
Chronologically:
8-5-94
7-5-49-1
12-6-88-1
13-12-92
9-8-86
14-11-104
5-5-60
11-8-102-2
9-6-61
9-6-76
10-8-111-2
20-18-215 (plus 49 passing yards and a TD)
He’s washed though.
Justin Herbert was by far the best player on the field tonight and anyone who says otherwise is an utter moron. Absolute master class performance tonight.
Here is the

jersey giveaway! Open to international fans as well.
Simply like, RT, and follow me to be entered. I’ll choose a winner before the game on Sunday.

Trading Keenan Allen doesn’t make any sense to me in any aspect, man. Especially now that you can’t even really use the cap savings. All the good free agents are gone! I’m struggling with this one, yall.
The Chargers had the worst offensive line in the league last year. They just had two be named as Pro Bowl starters for this season. You love to see it 👏🏼
The Chargers' chances move up from 82% to 86% as a result of the Jets' loss, per FiveThirtyEight. A win against the Colts on MNF takes their chances up to 99%. Yes, NINETY-NINE 👀
Kyzir White finished the season with the 8th most tackles (144 total) per Pro Football Reference and the 4th most stops (53) per PFF among all linebackers in the league. 44 had an awesome season and deserves a big pay day by the Chargers!
Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow are two future faces of the league and the NFL had the opportunity to flex their first ever matchup onto SNF. No one outside of Denver fans wants to watch the Broncos on prime time TV this year. Huge marketing mistake imo 👎🏻👎🏻
#Chargers
CB Michael Davis has forced 10 incompletions since becoming a full-time starter again in Week 9. No other cornerback in the league has forced more than him.
Reminder that Justin Herbert spent half of the 2022 season with DeAndre Carter and Michael Bandy serving as his WR2 & WR3, while also dealing with broken ribs himself.
This Chargers team potentially ending the season on a 5 game winning streak to get to 11 wins and clinching a trip back to the playoffs with 2 weeks to spare might be one of the most remarkable things I’ve seen as fan of nearly 20 years. Hell of a coaching job by Brandon Staley!
Lmaooo Mike Williams told Rich Eisen today that Hunter Renfrow was trying to recruit him to LV before free agency started and Mike told him that it was never going to get that far. Love it.
The Chargers headed into this matchup incredibly banged up, lost their TE1 and two more defensive tackles during the game, and battled until the very end. All in all I’m happy with how they performed tonight.
Safe to say that Tuli Tuipultou is a building block for the Chargers going forward. His 51 total pressures trailed only Will Anderson among rookie edge rushers and his 29 run stops led all rookie edge rushers (Anderson was 2nd with 22). Excited to see what a full offseason in the
Keenan, Mike, and Josh had been on the field for 15 snaps entering tonight’s game against the MIA. Tonight was the first time all season that all 3 finished a game together. They went for 12-92, 6-116-1 and 4-53. Amazing what happens when your supporting cast is actually healthy.
People already making jokes about the Chargers offseason hype going crazy yet again. “They never live up to expectations!” Yeah well they’ve also never had a quarterback as talented as Justin Herbert, and never made moves like trading for Mack and signing JC before either so 🤷🏻♂️

GM Joe Hortiz’ initial statement on being hired:
“When you’ve had the privilege of working with one organization your entire career, something that’s exceedingly rare in our business, the opportunity and fit has to pretty much be perfect to consider a change.

I was in elementary school when Philip Rivers was drafted by the Chargers. Up until this season, he was the only QB I ever knew to play for the Bolts. Today’s his birthday so I had to give him a shoutout. Rooting for you in the playoffs, 17! 🐐

From weeks 11-18, Keenan Allen was 2nd in the league targets, 1st in catches, 5th in yards, and registered his highest # in yards per route run (2.12) since the 2018 season. All coming off a severe hamstring injury. Call me crazy but I think the Chargers should keep him around 🤷🏻♂️
Austin Ekeler needs 4 touchdowns over the next 2 weeks to hit 20 total touchdowns for the 2nd consecutive season. If he’s able to hit that mark, he’d be the first running back to do since… Ladainian Tomlinson in 2005-2006 - per StatMuse.
The narrative flipping surrounding the Jets defense that has happened in the past 24 hours so people can push anti-Justin Herbert takes is not even remotely surprising. Yesterday they were elite, top 5! Today they are “just alright” and Herbert should’ve carved them up. 🤦🏻♂️
People actually think the Chargers hiring Jim Harbaugh puts pressure on Justin Herbert??? Lmao, sure.
For the first time in his career, the guy is going to have a coach who will give his team a legitimate competitive advantage every single week, and a reliable run game - at
The Raiders have had as many opposing fan stadium takeovers as the Chargers and Rams over the last two years. No one in the national media ever talks about it though.
Brandon Staley said after the game last night that Tuli Tuipulotu has some linebacker to him because of how smart he is. Watch him identify exactly where this run play is going to Derwin James, close the space, and then spin back for a run stop on third down. Stud.
You absolutely cannot lose this game today with Antonio Gates going into the team HOF and Philip Rivers in attendance for the first time post-retirement. Only dubs today please.
