Saluting in The @BritishArmy When serving personnel salute an officer, they are acknowledging Her Majesty the Queen as Head of State & saluting the rank the officer holds rather than the individual. When an officer returns a salute, it is done so on behalf of the Queen. #History

I met 40 new @BritishArmy candidates a few weeks ago and showed them the Your Army 19 posters. My favourite response to them was; “The snow flake one is me sir” I then asked do these posters offend you? his reply “ yes sir but everything offends me I’m a snowflake” #GreatAnswer 🇬🇧

On this day 24 years ago I passed out of Basic Training, it blows my mind how quickly time has gone: Lots of operational tours 10 BATUS Deployments Broken back Skin cancer Lost too many friends RiP 💔 A crazy journey which still isn't over, not sure what the picture is about 🤦🏻‍♂️
