So I finished Carnivore Jan. The results: a) Never felt hungry b) Lost 13Lbs c) HRM score of 90 (the best I have EVER had).
Lowered BP, BG, TG and higher HDL.

OMG! Just got my ECL results from the ZERO calories - FIVE day - 100 MILES challenge. It clearly shows I was a sugar burner on day 1 and a fat burner by the end. Awesome 😎 results. This matches my weight loss curve

End of day 3 - ZERO calories- 5 DAYS - 100 MILE. All 8 of us finished, now over 70 miles done, some interesting data to share post event, but all feeling full of energy-but sore feet. So great to see everybody’s blood glucose stable and ketones normal
When did this happen? Been in London today & counted 9 candy stores on Oxford Street/Leicester Sq. Just full of candy and cereals (further proof both are the same thing). We are now bypassing fast food and feeding sugar addiction directly!

The terrible Eatwell Guide has played a huge part in our obesity crisis, and the government are tragically about to make the nation even fatter still. Forcing restaurants to put a calorie count on all meals, is yet again focusing on the wrong thing.

I don't like having a go at politicians, but this is so far from the truth that it makes me furious! This is fat shaming and that makes people put on more weight. It is not a lack of willpower. We need to teach about hormones, recognising food addiction is real & educating on IR.

The principle of the Human Diet is to simply eat real unprocessed food. Food your great grandparents would recognise as food. By example, fish should look like fish and not a fish finger!
Start of day 4, All 8 participants feeling great, but sore. Today’s route looks interesting, but we have broken the back of it / as we are ahead on miles. My glucose is in the same range as I would expect after a meal!! What science this is!
While we wait for the documentary and all the science to be collated from our 5 day bike ride, with zero calories, our team have just put this together. It all is further proof that fasting, i.e restricted eating, when controlled, is very beneficial for the human body.

Day 4, Will send this mornings medicals, once my laptop has some power. 4 days now completed cycled 430 miles, on 0 calories, and will do 70 more tomorrow, before we head off to the PHC conference. All the team have been brilliant, And not one person has felt hungry yet. Amazing.
Just finished day 1. Cycled 112 miles non stop over 11.2 hrs, all 5 riders ok. Legs ache slightly, but good energy... Of course if we had done same distance while eating, would have to have stopped and suffered dips while digesting
Day 1, went well, all 8 of us did 25 miles and zero calories and most of us never felt hungry at all. The challenge though is ZERO calories FIVE days and 100 MILES . So along way to go.

Start of day two on my first five day fast of 2021. Blood sugar lower than yesterday, ketones is slightly higher and blood pressure almost normal (it was high yesterday). Also burnt off 3 pounds, so off to a good start.

I hope I have got this right and that i can run 26 miles without any fuel in the system - other than body fat. Will let you know how I get on. The brain is a funny thing, not been hungry at all during my last eight day fast , other than now, the night before!

Sorry for the delay, here are this morning’s results. All looking quite remarkable, have a look at the blood glucose level, our bodies are making sufficient amounts to get us through the trip. We will also at the end of the trip show our other bloods Hal, triglycerides etc
When somebody is trying to lose weight, make sure they don’t jump on the scales every single day. Water retention plays a huge part. I’ve just risen my bike 120 miles, continuously for 12 hours fasted , and weigh heavier than I did this morning! Gutted
A massive thanks to the organisers and the thousands of awesome volunteers of LM. My point of 🏃 it after a 9 day fast, was to add further evidence to the fact that the body can indeed run on stored body fat and to promote controlled fasting as part of a health and longevity plan
