#YR went from a horrible Noah & Tessa history rewrite to Crystal coming back & acknowledgment of their past. Whoever is responsible for the improvement is noticed. The wedding seems to be a start of a more coherent & positive LGBT writing that hasn’t been on YR for a while.

I know it’s not popular and the animation style looked a little rough, but I loved the Xena animated movie as a kid. And the fact they all did their own voices. The song Xena sings to Gabrielle is lovely. (Not surprising considering it’s LL singing, but still).

“Xena” definitely deserves more credit than it’s given especially when it’s left out of pop culture discussions. The show was on literally during the time that “Ellen” got cancelled because she came out as gay on her sitcom and they still tried to push for that representation.

@StephNPerkins Honestly they both supported lesbians way before The L Word was a thing. I think Xena should have more credit and popularity for the acceptance of lesbians more than the toxic relationships in The L Word. Xena came out in 1995-2001. The L Word 2004-2009.

There’s a lot to unpack in “Fins, Femmes, & Gems”. You get distracted by things like Joxer & Xena Tarzaning, Xena looking frustrated when she thinks Gabs is going to confess her love. But then you realize Gabrielle has a pink nightie in her bag when she only sleeps next to Xena.

I read some brutal reviews about the “Being the Ricardos” movie before watching it, but I really loved it. Each actor embodied their counterparts’ mannerisms & personalities. A little long but enthralling. The Vivian Vance & William Frawley moments were a highlight.

I know Joxer wasn’t super popular but I feel like his lack of presence in the last season is noticeable. He added a light-hearted silliness to the episodes. Aphrodite is pretty good about adding those moments too though so at least she’s around.

Thankful to all the straight allies in past lgbt roles who put their hearts into roles & advocated for more for us. Some of them cared more about the lgbt community than their counterparts. I think it’s more about having good advocates in the right places, but that’s just me.

I like how different Tessa is compared to other characters on YR. She’s kind of a goober and her look is different. I think about those things when I see people confusing Mariah for kissing Abby in the promo. 😂 Or how she looks like a young Sharon Case. Tessa is unique. #teriah

We didn’t get a lot of passionate scenes between #Teriah in the beginning of their relationship bc the censorship was more intense back then. We did get good emotional longing. If they do a rebuild of their relationship, we could watch that process for the first time between them
