Our whole school from Nursery to Y6 have enjoyed reading, "How Winston Delivered Christmas." We've created brilliant English work based on the story. Look at this great labelled diagram of Fortesque's Department Store by Nicole in Y1

Another fabulous afternoon in the sun for our Year 6s who practiced playing rounders for the first time together. We saw some great sportsmanship and heard lots of praise for one another. ☀️🏏🏃🏽♀️

Congratulations to our children who made their 1st Holy Communion today. It was a wonderful mass, we also got to meet our new priest, Father Emmanuel!!
Year 3 children are writing letters to people in our community who might be isolated and feeling lonely. We hope to cheer them up with our gorgeous pictures and kind words!
In Reception, we have been talking about kindness and how we can be kind to one another. We wrote our ideas on heart shaped leaves and put them on our kindness tree.
Jude in Year 6 brought his great grandfathers flying jacket, goggles and mask in from WW2 when he was part of the RAF and had to parachute out of the aircraft after it was shot down! It was so interesting and surreal to actually hold the items from so many years ago. 👨🏼✈️🥇✈️
As it is the season of creation, Year 2 have been praising God for his wonder of creation. As Psalm 19 says we don’t need words to tell you how wonderful you are. Our silent message reaches everyone especially when we listen to the voice of creation.
@CaritasSalford

Year 2 investigated different materials that would be suitable for building bridges ensuring they could get across the river and then investigated how much weight their bridge would take.

In Nursery this week we have been talking about kindness. We created a heart shape filled with our kind handprints. The children shared their ideas of acts of kindness.
Some photos from a fantastic trip to Knowsley Safari Park this week. We were so proud when two members of the public and one member of staff from another school commented on the excellent behaviour of our Early Years children!
Can you see it? Look in the distance and you'll notice there's light at the end of the tunnel. The light is getting closer. Our school community will be reunited tomorrow. Restrictions will ease little by little. The dark is lifting. Remain hopeful.
See you in the morning x
Year one have been working really hard on learning the rosary prayers and have said a decade of the rosary each day this week.

Father Emmanuel our parish priest came to visit us today. In Yr4 he talked about the role of the parish priest and gave us a blessing before he left. We then wrote a job description for a priest. He can speak 7 languages, he has visited 5 continents.
Our Year 6’s are beyond grateful for such a fantastic morning with
@WoodSt_Mission
. We discussed the importance and benefits of reading and were lucky enough to take not 1 or 2 books home with... but 5! Look at the smiles on their faces! 📚🤓 What an amazing charity!!!
Our song about seeing the light of Christ in times of darkness. We reflected on times which we might find difficult but have the support and guidance of the Holy Spirit to guide us into the light.
The Reception class have been busy making bird feeders this week. There weren’t many birds around when we visited our school garden so we thought of some ways to attract them. We decided they need food, water and shelter.
A big happy birthday to everyone who has had their birthday during the lockdown:,
