Our school community is deeply saddened by the death of Tony Barrett. We have set up an online memory book and you can share your prayers, thoughts and memories here:
We are saddened to learn of the death of Miss Janet Parkinson. Miss Parkinson worked at St Mary’s as Head of English. The funeral takes place on 24th August at 11am at St John the Baptist’s Church, Broughton, Preston, PR3 5JB, followed by a cremation at Preston Crematorium.
Congratulations to two of our former students Dom Manfredi (two tries) and Rachel Thompson (three tries) on winning their Rugby League Grand Finals for Wigan Warriors.
Spending our last night at the grotto. Tonight, we lit our group candle remembering our families and friends and two special candles for Caitlin and Niall.
🌹 It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad loss of one of our beloved pupils, Ava. Her fun spirit and lively personality will be forever cherished. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Ava’s family and friends during this difficult time. Rest in peace. 🕊️

Our new Y7 students were welcomed into the St Mary’s on their Induction Morning yesterday. Students were able to meet and get to know their form groups, key staff members and have a tour of the school. The morning was great fun. We can’t wait to welcome them back next week.
Thank you to
@WiganCouncil
for working with us and our partner primary schools to improve the safety of our children. Another zebra crossing, pavement widening and extra speed awareness signs.
We have a selection of recycled uniform available if needed. There is no charge for any items. All uniform has been cleaned ready for collection. Please call into school next week during office hours. At present we are unable to take any more donations. Thank you 🙏🏼
Lovely to see the new Year 7s so excited to be starting
@StMarysCHS
