This ARTWORK is doing the rounds on Twitter, after some idiot removed my name from it and then labelled it 'First photo of a sunset on Mars'. It's bullshit.

Feeling pissed.
Finally I've finished my O'Neill Cylinder. At least the first

Look how many views this has. It's an illustration I created. If I'd posted it myself I'd be in my element. But instead, some shitty account took it without permission, erased my watermark and claims it's a NASA image. FFS. Sometimes I really hate the Internet
Here's a

So my Stanford Torus drone flight nears completion - the modelling at least. I still need to add people and some flying stuff, and I will extend the sequence at the end to show the entire station. Enjoy - but still A WIP and low res.

My O'Neill Cylinder is almost finished rendering, at long last. I'll post the final result hopefully tomorrow. Meanwhile, here are some stills, to whet the appetite, so to speak.
@vardi
For the record, I am the creator of this ILLUSTRATION. It is NOT a photo of the first sunset on Mars. It is my work that somebody has unscrupulously edited and removed my name from.
16k likes for a fake, FFS.
For those following the development of my O'Neill Cylinder space colony, here's the WIP so far. Lots added since last iteration. It will go on a few hundred more frames, once I've added some interesting stuff to look at towards the end.

Still a WIP, here's how my Stanford Torus is developing so far. It needs obvious things like people, but what else do you all think I could add to the scene? The camera is not animated yet.

Here's another render of my O'Neill Cylinder, this time flying just below the central axis, altitude about 4.5km (2.8 miles). This clip will join to the end of the previous clip of the outside, showing a seamless trip from exterior to interior.

James, I liked your planets compared animation. Here's my take on it, going a bit further in scale. Well, a lot. Can you spot the deliberate mistake?
Please feel free to RT if this made you feel puny. Or if you just think it's cool.

Can't get enough of the O'Neill Cylinder? Here's a sneak peak of the exterior so far. Again, this is a WIP. The spin is too slow, the end isn't finished and and and...
Please retweet. It really helps.

Dear followers
I need YOUR help.
Here is a work in progress of a space elevator, climbing a tower towards an orbital ring. Eventually I will include the ring, and another scene with the train docking with it. But something is lacking in this at the moment and I need ideas.

When the Sun becomes a red giant in about 6 billion years, it could bring new life to the Solar System. Here, the Sun is seen from Europa, moon of Jupiter. Europa's ices are melting. Exotic creatures may swim in this new ocean.

Happy Monday! This graphic maps the known stars / brown dwarfs within 20 light-years of the Sun. The Earth's equatorial plane is the horizontal plane, and the blue shells mark five light-years. There are certainly more brown dwarfs than shown but they have not yet been found.

Want to ruin your firm's reputation in one fell swoop? It's easy - just use some shitty AI 'art' for your project instead paying a professional.
