At the game, a 6 yr old girl from further down the row came up to us and started chatting with my daughter. They hit me with knock knock jokes for a few innings, it was cute. Then Cesar Hernandez came up and the other girl, suddenly attentive to the game, yelled “LET’S GO DADDY!”

The #WhiteSox entered this winter needing a starting RF, a starting 2B, and an SP. They signed two relievers, a swingman worse than Lopez, and two utility guys. The only 8-figure salary they’ve paid is for the reliever whose option they picked up and have struggled to trade.

Wait…Marcus Semien put up 7.6 and 6.6 WAR in his last full seasons (two top-3 MVP finishes) and people are coming at me saying the #WhiteSox — a team with serious (?) World Series aspirations — dodged a bullet by letting him go to Texas….because of the 2028 payroll??? GTFOH.
