@nicq2012
The point when men say (a lot of) women don’t have sense and fathers are needed in the home. The sense that should’ve kicked in and told this woman “maybe I shouldn’t shake my ass in front of these kids.”
Both her parents are immigrants but she thinks because she was born in Oakland and went to a HBCU she can relate to the Black American struggle and call herself Black American. It doesn’t work like that.
Most people associate Black men with Black American men so when we find out they’re not Black American men, yes we’re going to point it out. Don’t put that horrible incident on Black American men.
@RVAReid
Saying black people sound like white supremacists is funny because white supremacy was created to keep BLACK people down and will elevate every other race, including immigrants to do so.
It’s a disrespectful thing to say to the legitimate concerns of black people.
@InsaneRealitys
The son thinking he can tell the step dad to get out just shows they never knew their place and never had any respect for that man. This is on the mom.
@CollegeBoyNick
@PoppedbyCherry
Exactly this. Women have allowed and encouraged men to identify as women and now this is the result. A man thinks he can tell us what a woman is.
Trans men (women) know instinctively they could never challenge a man but trans women (men) know women are weaker.
Being born in America doesn’t make you Black American.
Skin color doesn’t make you Black American.
Assimilating to Black culture doesn’t make you Black American.
Being mistreated by the police doesn’t make you Black American.
@ImNikkiLuv
@SovereignWoman_
It was for black people whether American or not. They weren't discriminated for their Americaness, they were discriminated for the color of their skin assumed to be less superior
How we can protect ourselves from men:
1. Don’t get drunk.
2. Don’t talk crazy to people.
3. Don’t hit or try to fight a man.
4. Don’t let unstable, strange or threatening men get physically close to you.
5. Don’t got to hotel rooms or homes with men you don’t trust.
6.
@RyanGarcia
It’s true they use you for cheap labor but it’s a mutually beneficial relationship, otherwise people wouldn't come.
Mexicans and immigrants are volunteers in their own exploitation, not slaves.
@grindfacetv
Racist white people try to put all their hate into that word like it’s going to make them less miserable and hateful. lol. He looks like he’s about to have heart attack saying that word.
@ModestyQueen19
She’s right. No one belongs to us. Choosing the same person everyday is a choice. If one day, you choose another person that’s on you. It’s not about me. Now choosing to stay with someone who chose someone else is also a choice.
@Dreadful4Tymes
It’s clear most of y’all want women to be weak, helpless and rely on other people to save us. I don’t believe in that. I think we should protect ourselves, by any means necessary. I’m done arguing with y’all.
Kamala Harris was elevated to the 2nd most powerful position in this nation by marketing herself as a Black woman.
This wouldn’t have happened if she marketed herself as an Indian & Irish Jamaican woman.
@HU_ASA
This apology should’ve addressed Black Americans specifically and included an acknowledgement that Africans are guests benefiting from an institution created for Black Americans. This isn’t a sincere apology.
What if all of these divisions of men vs. women, black vs. white, rich vs. poor was all just a manipulation tactic being used by those in power to keep us from coming together?
I can’t believe we’re arguing with people who I used to think were our allies (melanated people all over the world) about why the Black American ethnicity and our history needs to be respected and preserved.
They are fighting harder than white people to erase us!
You’re Jamaican in America having a Jamaican experience. Your family chose to move to a country where the Black people are being oppressed.
It’s like being a tourist in a country experiencing a genocide and now you want a Medal of Honor for being grazed by a bullet. Stop it!
Those are African cultures. Black culture is Black American culture. Not a race but an ethnicity that's been here since before your family immigrated here.
Stop putting curses on us saying “we’re done as a people”, “we cant do this” or “we will never do that”. Y’all speaking that into existence and don’t even realize it.
Being anti-immigration doesn’t make you xenophobic. That’s like saying we should invite all the homeless people to to our home so we don’t come off as mean.
@PHILLYNCH561
You cannot immigrate into an ethnicity. Your experience is not the same as Black Americans who are from this land. Your experience is that of a person whose family immigrated here.
2 different histories.
This is not challenging gender stereotypes. This is an active effort to feminize men and erase masculinity.
How did we go from let’s teach boys to get in touch with their emotions to let’s put boys in dresses and make up?

I don’t have a sense of security. That’s the whole point. I know it’s crazy people out there. I’m realistic. That’s life. Protect yourself.
To be clear, my main issue is with African & other immigrants coming to America pretending to be Foundational Black Americans. We have politicians, public figures and journalists being used as tools to go against us bc the public thinks we are the same. That is a problem.
In one of the spaces about the CA reparations bill, the ladies said they got the most pushback about Black Americans delineating and tracing our genealogy.
That stood out to me. Why would people be so against that?
@ModestyQueen19
Raising kids is a two person job and everything shouldn't fall on the mom. She’s clearly overwhelmed and at her breaking point. He needs to step up for her and his kid.
My issue with these convos is it’s always centered around the top 10% of each gender. When are we going to start having real conversations about us regular people?
When I see tweets like this, I imagine a bunch of Black Americans moving to Haiti, talking down on Haitians & their accomplishments, while simultaneously assimilating to their culture, claiming it as their own and calling for unity. 😵💫
What do Black Americans own? The N word? Braids? Nggas tryna police a culture they have no control over is hilarious to me lmao. Instead of understanding the powers that be see all of us as NGGAS no matter where we from ppl do shit like this.

A job is something you choose to do. If you don’t want the job of a gf/future wife then don’t do it. Find a man that doesn’t care if cook for him. But most of these men want a woman who will, just like most women want a man who will provide. I didn’t make the rules. Lol.
I don’t know any African immigrants in my personal life, so this diaspora war is new to me. I didn’t realize how their mindset is and how they view Black Americans.
@natalieymoore
It’s not immoral for Black people to be anti-immigration, despite how we were treated in the past. It's important for us to have boundaries in our communities or we will continue to be mistreated and taken advantage of.
Men are ruled by the head and women are ruled by the heart, which is why together there is balance. Today, everything is so backwards with feminine men and masculine women that we are all messed up and confused.
Black immigrants and second-generation Black Americans account for 21% of the overall Black population in the U.S. – comparable to the share among Americans overall, but lower than the share among Hispanics or Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
@olivia_____1
@RVAReid
There absolutely is a hierarchy, with black people being at the bottom. Other races may get discriminated against but to compare the two is to deny history and reality.
It would be nice to band together but it cannot be to the detriment of black people.
@SovereignWoman_
@PHILLYNCH561
Divide, divide, divide. Instead of saying no matter where we are from, we're all Black, now let's unite and defeat white supremacy. Y'all would rather argue about nonsense
When you identify as Black American when you’re not, you are by definition erasing us by changing its meaning to include you. If you care and respect Black Americans you’ll stop doing that.
I was listening in on that space last night and the Africans were bashing Black American culture, while simultaneously saying we should unite. 🤔
They also kept saying Black Americans think we’re better than everyone and not one BA said that. It felt like a projection.
You have Africans on reparations panels, a Nigerian was crowned Ms. Juneteenth, they’re writing white supremacist think pieces for the news media, they’re publicly speaking against reparations, which has nothing to do with them …
It’s a historically BLACK university. Black is short for Black Americans. I know you’re not implying HBCUs weren’t created for the purpose of educating Black Americans.
@TezlynFigaro
What do other forms of slavery have to do with US chattel slavery? They refuse to acknowledge the wealthiest country in the world was built on slave labor and that’s the real issue.
@JeniferLewis
There is no reason this should result in lifelong trauma. Her worth is not determined by some random woman. That lady’s hateful actions is a reflection of herself, not the little girl.
