On 7/27/2017, Southport P.D. Lieutenant Aaron Allan was shot and killed while attempting to rescue the suspect after a rollover vehicular crash. We honor him each day and continue to miss him. #Southportstrong

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Officer Rich Parnell. Officer Parnell succumbed to his battle with cancer earlier today after a long fight. Officer Parnell served on our Honor Guard as well as a FTO. He will be greatly missed. We love you, Rich.
