Earlier today at 1st and 312th, two car collision with one vehicle leaving the roadway 40’ down an embankment. Thankfully the child was secured safely. No serious injuries. Thanks to @FedWayPD for comforting the child while crews assisted other patients. #communitypartners

Justice has finally been served! After months of evading payment for all of the coffee their officers drink at South King Fire Stations 66 & 67, Des Moines, WA Police Department has at last been served with invoice #10 ,000,039 and put under arrest for non-payment by E367. These

Unfortunately Mama duck got hit by car at 340th and Hoyt. A363 saw citizens trying to catch the ducklings while on an aid call, but they were gone by the time call got done. A few hours later, the citizens brought the ducklings to the station. Animal control has been notified.

Thank You to the boaters that found a kayaker in the water off of Redondo. He had reportedly been in the water for about 30 min. He was blowing his whistle but was to far from shore to be heard. He is stable, but cold and being transported to a local hospital.

The crew on E64 encountered a lost dog while on an incident this afternoon. They got the dog to a near by vet and via the dogs chip information made a phone call and reunite the dog with family. We never know who are patients are going to be.

Responding to 911 calls in the snow can be a challenge. E65 lost a set of chains trying to get out of a tough spot. 45 minutes of shovel work and they are out. Back to the station to put on a new set of chains. This will be a Christmas shift our SKFR crews will remember.

Patient with critical injuries was transported to Harborview by @KingCoMedicOne . He was pulled from the cab of the semi truck by a heroic veteran of the Marine Corp who served for three years. Veteran suffered some injuries and burns but thankfully all minor damage injuries.

Lt. Hoag and FF Aparis rescued two dogs at today’s house fire, one of which needed life saving efforts. FF Aparis was able to successfully resuscitate the dog using one our canine cpr masks. Officer Larson from animal control took the dog to the emergency vet for evaluation.

@Southkingfire on location of a residential fire in the 35800 block of 14th Ave SW in Federal Way. Firefighters were able to make a quick knockdown on the fire. Crews also located and removed several pets, at least one pet was resuscitated by firefighters on scene.

A crew at Station 66 noticed two kids riding their bicycles and having fun, but unfortunately they did not have any helmets. The crew worked in partnership with the South King Firefighters Foundation to purchase two helmets to help keep the kids safe. Great job Station 66!
